A more apt analogy would be red car with black interior to red car with black interior and pink steering wheel.

So I decided to grab a few of these Tiny Titans to be Unicron cultists--the knife actually makes more sense for them than Unicron himself since in the old Marvel issue #74, The Void, they were running around with swords and knives.

The car analogy is bad. A better one would be this:

You pre-ordered a 600 Dollar, massive Optimus Prime.
It's billed to you as being amazingly detailed and accurate.
They show you pictures of it and its great.
You have to pay in advance and are told this is a once in a lifetime chance to get this.

Then when it comes out and the chest doors are just blue unpainted plastic, and only the doors, the rest of the torso is as it should be.

It's still Optimus, but they cheeped out and ruined one of the iconic aspects of the figure.

Not me. I’m fine with it...I guess most Asian collectors would just “accept” it.

I’m an easy fan to please collect. As long as the figure has the aesthetics (80%), colours (slight difference in shading/tone), durability I’m good.

Totally agreed. The point is this figure was crowd funded and not available at retail.

So if anyone wants to complain about it, (forever) it’s acceptable. Tbh I feel guilty paying so much when I have peers struggling during to C19.

...oh man, what memories. I know some folks can’t bear to read the Marvel G1 stuff but they were a good read for their time. Simon Furman was the TF writer for that period.

Not me, I'm fine with the blue. I've said it several times in this thread, but my opinion is that I like the way it makes the teeth look more menacing.

The bottom teeth though...I'm tempted to try a silver paint pen but I'm undecided since I'm not the best customizer.

Here is something that I wanted to point out but on a different scale for those believing that Unicron is fine with the final product with the missing color applications as advertised. I understand color shade variations and that has been the case since 1984. This is for those that bend over to their corporate masters and allow companies to provide you with what you need, instead of what you actually want after they have already collected your money that many have to work their ass off just to pay for.
$575 for Unicron is not the same as $150 for Scorponok or Fortress Maximus which actually speaks with light up eyes.
Think of it like this. Everyone knows that Chevrolet created the Transformers Edition Bumblebee Cameros. Which if anyone owns one your damn luck as you could not just go buy this at every dealership. Mostly it was pre-ordered on the Chevrolet website. So say you have the money to purchase the Transformers Edition Bumblebee Camero and there are many different versions of the Camero available to purchase. So you place your order for that dream vehicle in which you paid for in advance and get that call that your Camero is ready for deliver. You head to the dealership to pick up your dream vehicle and when you arrive you notice that the Camero is just a basic SS Edition Camero in Yellow with Black racing stripes minus all the Transformers additions. So would you take that Camero as is or voice your concerns with the Chevrolet for not delivering as advertised? It's a Camero!!! But for those that think Unicron is fine as accepted. Fine you have your reasons to do so. But for those of us that are wanting to voice our concerns with not excepting with what we get over what we backed is totally relevant. This version of Unicron is a Dream Project for so many fans since visually seeing his immense presence as the first character in The Transformers: The Movie in 1986.

If an when Haslab does another crowdfund like this I wonder how many backers will think twice about funding it? I know I will be skeptical.
