Yeah, if you take a look at his chest in both the model and the film itself:



They're generally smaller, and have those little pieces there on the sides. I understand why they forgo the latter (I probably would've done the same) but I definitely think they would stand out less on the truck in general if they were smaller.

 

Cause MPM is on a lower budget. So he'll be cheaper and have an easier transformation. Although I'm sure many people would have been fine with that if it meant an even better figure.

I paid Transcraft Bee 90 euro. Stupid ass-looking-bee Mpm is like 100 euro and that's unaccettable.

 

It's actually a far cleaner and accurate back then I expected. Better than the previous MP Prime back anyway.

 

Robot mode looks great but I think the truck mode has killed it for me. Sorry!

 

I can see the nemisis prime and SG repaints coming.

 

As always, I'm excited for those who went in on the Bumblebee MPMs, but for myself, I did not. (none of the figure lines for this movie actually).

Sure can't wait for some more characters from 2007, ROTF & DOTM however!!!!!!


EDIT: so those smoke stacks are going to remain bent like that in truck mode????

 

What's the bet that the rumoured MPM-13 '77 Camaro will be that hideous design at the end of the the BB movie and not the '07 Movie version???

 

It's been said that it's most likely a retool of MPM-03 Bee, so it's probably how he looked from the first movie.
