Seriously, he looks good. Been wanting this version in some kind of MPM sized, as any offering otherwise seems to be that 3A huge-sized that I'm not collecting. Glad to see this is official. And if that leaked box pic was real, kudos to them for keeping this away from the leakers for as long as they did.

 

The truck from the movie is impossible to get to transform into the robot. The lazy eyebrow broke it down pretty well in his SS-38 Review.

Pretty torn about this. On one hand the third party renders have shown that they can do better. On the other hand the official release might cause the third party releases to slow to a crawl so that they don't steal hasbro's thunder... Guess I'll have to wait for some actual product images to decide whether this is 'good enough' to get.

 

i was pretty hyped for this and while i want to wait for clearer images, this looks atrocious , the robot seems mostly good but how did the studio series figure get a more realistic altmode

 

Cuz the alt mode is impossible to get from the robot mode.

 

People need to realize the cybertron designs were added at last minute and were kind of rushed. Even shatter and dropkick.

Agreed. The front of the cab looks solid but it looks like they got lazy towards the back of the truck. His shins are just laying there.

I really hope this is just a Google Translate thing, because... If that's legitimate, it really just helps validate my criticisms about China's involvement with this franchise (especially the movie stuff).

Totally expecting this figure to suck like the rest of the MPM line though. Movie stuff is a joke. I don't even know why people like this stuff. This design is at least decent, but these figures seem to be made quickly and cheaply compared to a lot of the other products from Hasbro and Takara (recent Masterpiece stuff not included).
