Yeah we won't do an IDW Star Saber. Planet X' version is already pretty terrific and only in need of a good headsculpt. We did have one in super early planning when they revealed theirs, but we scrapped it upon that reveal and I'm glad for it, didn't look anywhere near as good.

Not ruling out the chance that we will do Star Saber though. I have a really cool idea for an original design that's on my personal wishlist of dream projects, but it's also very different from the norm. Maybe later in IF.

Hey man I’m not trying to argue with you, haha. I do know that Kadmos and Ismenios are part of their IDW line, and I feel like they took extra care and attention to the materials for those 2 compared to what I got from their Ironhide, Ratchet, Starscream etc. it’s also why I’m so excited for their Grimlock, since it’s also part of their IDW line. I’m just saying that my favorite MMC figures are still better than my favorite PX figures *subjectively*. It’s fine if you disagree. We are all free to have different opinions.

And everything you say about Kadmos articulation might be true, and I should have given more credit for that. But man I just can’t stand his hollow plastic feet. They feel so flimsy and it doesn’t instill confidence for me when I pose him. I don’t have any such issue with Ismenios, which is just an incredible figure and toy.

Im glad you brought up GT tho cuz they’re also in my top 3 in terms of fun playability, wonderful engineering and above average sculpts. I know they’re reissuing their Megatron with some slight modifications so hopefully they will tease some new IDW figures soon as well!

I’m not sure why you’re coming off combative as I’m not trying to argue, or maybe I’m just reading your tone wrong. I only brought up Vulcun and Ismenios because they are my favorite PX figures, regardless of whether they are part of the IDW or FoC line. I understand all of your points and always appreciate different viewpoints and opinions.

I think you are just reading my tone wrong. I was just arguing the pluses/minuses of each figure/company. Don't think I called you names or anything like that?

Gotcha, my apologies! Maybe all this quarantine has impaired my ability to read the room... cheers!

Not to mention, there's no way to convey body language, etc in a forum :(

    TFW2005 should incorporate a Zoom button ;)

YES. Whatever it is, especially if its in IF.
I loved the Obari-style IronTrans Star Saber but I hate Saber's traditional alt mode.
Anything that's new for him, especially if its an original design, has my support.

Could we get a in depth idea? I'd love to hear what it is, if only to enjoy the concept of another starsaber toy

MMC should resurrect their Dai Atlas instead.

Agreed, while the prototype in Byrin's possession wasn't the clearest to be seen, it definitely looks way more kick-ass than the only real competition there is for FP's Dai Atlas.

I continue to hold out hope for a Galvatron, seeing as Maketoys version has been in the pipeline for 3 years now, and that’s the closest representation I’ve seen in this scale.

I'm a fan of Star Saber so if you announce something related to him I'll definitely be interested, as long as it will include a cool big sword.

I totally agree, we need a good Dai Atlas and he would look great next to drift and wing.

Takara's toy killed that project. Boss worried after Tor, Mors n Carn underselling that takara's would have made yet another niche big expensive guy sell bad.

Sort of projects mmc is probably not gonna touch for a while after Supermax.

Wait, does Carn = Carnifex? Carnifex didn't sell well?!?! I'm floored if so. That's one of my favorite toys of all time, and I know I'm not alone based on the "favorite 3P figure" threads that pop up sometimes. Plus... didn't the first run sell out? Did the reissue run do poorly or something?

Man, you folks must watch Hasbro/Takara leaks like a hawk, considering the financial consequences.

I think my combiners are going to have to go into storage to make room for this guy and Planet-X Grimlock. Unless of course MMC Trux is still in our future:D !

Such a shame. Takara’s Dai Atlas is bloody awful and FPs is too small. Looks like that non-transforming Banana Thingy one isn’t going to happen either.

I used to loath transforming Carnifex because I could never get the process down without watching videos and fumbling around a lot. I picked him up for the first time in ages last weekend and I experienced a moment of clarity wherein I finally understood his transformation. He's a great figure. I wish more people had the opportunity to own him. And his face is g o r g e o u s.

There wasn't much demand for the re-release. Probably because of the official and Fans Hobby toys. Plus most of the people who wanted Carnfiex have it by now.

I still want to do it, so probably best to keep it close to the chest for now. :lol  It's something that does not have much of a chance to be done by someone else though.
