You *want* to he able to hook young audiences. And this'll do it. Kids love big jets they can woosh around.

I actually like the look/concept of big jet Prime, but..well obviously the execution here isn\'t really going to be anything to write home about. I think a properly done take on this could be pretty cool though.

A tangent, but this is getting kind of in the ball park of a tf toy line idea I had way back in the UT days. Given the space fairing and space opera can be a major part of tf story telling, my thought was "why don't we do a line where they are all space ships of some sort?" This would hit the autobots hardest, but I thought it would be cool if there was an Optimus Prime who was some sort of large capital ship or cargo hauler, characters like Jazz, sideswipe and Hot Rod could be little starfighters, and the other characters would filter out as appropriate. The decepticons, especially the 86 era ones, could adapt to such a line more easily of course.

I had that idea back in the days where they would take more risks with the toyline, such that the aestetic was not limited to two flavors: G1 and bayverse.
