Opened him up today. Absolutely magnificent. Worth the wait. The diecast frame makes it so heavy too. Easily 4x the weight of their TLK Optimus. The feet, aside from the toes, are largely diecast which contributes greatly to stability.

Only two negative points. First, the cable for the fusion cannon is a huge cop out. It is utter crap. Should have been a segmented cable. Guess it is time to break out the Form 2 printer an make a new one. Second, the black airbrushed weathering is way too regular. All the same size and spacing. Precious figures would use a "splatter" technique like running a finger over a tooth brush. This one every application is the same spacing and radius. It looks unnatural and now that I've noticed it, I can't unsee it.

STILL, my gripes are minor and t think this is ThreeA's/Threezero's absolute best premium scale figure. And their TLK Oprimus is really hard to beat.

I <3 this friggin thing SO much

Honest question: is it really good that it’s THAT much heavier than Optimus? I have no quarrel with OP’s weight, and it would seem like overkill to make it that much heavier. I enjoy posing and manipulating OP and I don’t think I’d want him to be that much heavier.

Ok... so overall "weight" is not so much the issue. But, since the frame is metal instead of all plastic, I have mush greater confidence in the overall durability. TLK Optimus is notorious for breakage. Especially at the torso/pelvis ball joint. I just don't feel that way with megs. Also the weight disruption to the lower legs and feet makes a huge difference with stability. Megs is difficult to topple and Optimus will fall over is you sneeze too close to it.

Take it or leave it. I am much more impressed with the build of megs than with Optimus. They are both really good but the metal frame just makes megs better. I wish Optimus had the metal frame too.

OK thanks for elaborating! I guess I’m lucky then that my OP hasn’t had any issues. Wish I could afford to get Megs too (although it’s also about lack of space).

Technically they reissued Premium TLK Prime and I believe Premium TLK Bumblebee. It was at a slightly higher pricebut I remember that announcement back in either October or November of 2018 and they said it was due to demand. That’s how I got my exclusive TLK Prime through Bambaland before they closed. I guess that would have been ThreeA before the merge though.

Also, Megatron is out for delivery. I am hyped!

Was not aware of those reissues.

I think it is still fair to say that reissues are very rare.

Good to hear your megs is out for delivery. :)

Damn!  I canceled my pre-order a long time ago for other things and I thought that my last knight Optimus would be ok without that Megatron figure, but now, after seeing those pictures ... Yes, too bad threezero does not release a new Optimus knight premium with the metal frame. Only DLX, probably, in the future.

Anyway, congrats and thanks alot for sharing the pictures ;)

I freaking loved this guy! Spent a good chunk of the day yesterday messing with this and he is fantastic. Megatron might be the best Premium figure that they’ve done so far, the die cast skeletal frame really adds to this guy he feels better than the other three Premium figures that I have. My only real complain that the hose for the Fusion Cannon does suck. Otherwise he is fantastic, I’m real happy with him.

    Now here are some pics!

It is the gun made by 2GOODCO for the 1/22 Comicave Prime. It comes clean and I just did a minor splatter of black spry paint to dirty it up a bit. I think it's size works well with 3a Prime.
2GOODCO Battle Blaster Comicave 1/22 Diecast Allory Optimus Prime OP Gun Model | eBay

I got it a while ago when 3a Prime was first released. I think I paid $35 shipped so the price has gone up a bit.
