I probably would have gotten another one to keep in alt-mode if it was available for MSRP after release. Although if it's available at MSRP today, I might be passing because the initial rush have worn off. I still love the figure very much but I no longer really feel like having another one (I would be in for a toy colored one though). I find that's the case with me a lot so I very rarely end up buying a second copy of a toy. The very few times I've done it I almost always end up thinking I didn't need that second copy and should have put the money toward something else.

 

The only place in the UK doing preorders was charging £230 plus P&P. I'm quite happy to have got the last one from Bababobo for just under £230 including postage.

Yea, I think I got caught up in the hype. So since I have 3 right now, for sure I will sell one sometime soon and then debate on whether or not to keep one for backup.

No, the uk site. Regular p&p, although I shipped with a load of stuff. Still only £6.50 across about 9 items!

 

The Omegalock price is £229.99. They haven't increased the price on any other sold out figure, I don't know why they would for Thomas.

I only ever remember seeing £229.99, so good for you getting a lower price.

 

There is a guy called Daniel Yuen who just got a bunch of Thomas that he is selling.

Funny how these are supposed to be sold out yet it keeps popping up everywhere with the obvious huge mark up. Ive noticed Daniel seems to be the go to person that is able to get rare items for people all the time which makes me wonder if there is actually a shortage or not on FT stuff.

FT will either make lots of money if people keep buying it otherwise it would be too much and price people out of it which would hurt FT.

Yeah, PO-only that. Once in stock, the price goes up slightly. I think the remaining ones were additionally sourced ones (i.e. they paid more for them so have to charge more).

Omegalock is now the PO source as if January, TFS-Express is only listing new PO on the Chinese site. Just fyi.

 

Yes. It's good to see that people have come to their senses. That one guy who's been trying to sell the figure for $650 on Ebay always makes me shake my head. $350+ offerings do not sell anymore. Even at $300 people hesitate.

I'm 100% sure there will be a reissue. Maybe even with small improvements. Next year or the year after. Then I'll get him for $250 - and all those scalpers can f^?# off.

 

There are no shorteages.
Only peoples like him pre order a lot so there is no more stock.
And then sell them at higher price. But still under the marked up prices to keep you happy.
I bet these guys buys at least 10 pieces or maybe even 20+ pieces at pre order.
