Any commercial with that shitty, soulless corporate music that sounds like it was assembled on a conveyor belt to be as inoffensive and easy to digest as possible. This video sums it up perfectly:
Ads for pharmaceuticals who's long list of side affects are actually much worse than the ailment that you took the medication for in the first place.
State Farm’s, don’t get me started on that stuff. Also I keep hearing Only Time, a lot now and the song is losing its meaning.
There's this ad for Cox communication internet where this 4 or 5 year old is on his mom's laptop and a pop-up says YOU WON $1,000,000! He goes around the house cheering and celebrating with his siblings and his mom noticed the pop-up, disconnects the internet and gets rid of the ad. Her son tells her "MOM! Guess what? We're rich!" Mom says "aw, that's fake, mi amore." Kid:"aawww. " Mom: "Ice cream?" Kids:"YEAH! " I know it's a little kid but you figure his mom would have warn him of this stuff or at least the older sibling and why doesn't the mom keep her kid in front of her while online? So many wrongs and I'm sick of seeing it.
I can't stand the Geico commercial with the cloggers. The constant clogging sound gets on my nerves just after a few seconds. If someone actually lived under that for an extended period of time, I wouldn't blame them going batshit crazy.
Less despise and more bewildered by it, but still. -So fellas, we have this new cereal to advertise for children and adults with a sweet tooth alike. Any ideas? -Let's use animals. -Nah, too predictable. -Have the kids eating it transform into superheroes! -Now now, we don't want to step on Disney's toes here. -Well, how about one piece of cereal experiencing orgasmic bliss while its buddies slowly devour its chocolalate-y brain matter? -Stevenson, you're a goddamn genius!
FUCK those go compare ads ( if you were/have been watching tv in the uk in the late 2010's you know what I am talking about
They're still running... and he's doing self-interview / home video ads at the moment due to recording restrictions... they tried killing him off (3 or 4 ads, about 5 years ago...) and it didn't stick
I think I hate salad girl and the milkshake girl the most in those adverts. Also I hate the guy who started to make people dancing cringily in the Kroger ad
In game/app ads where the game they show is nothing like the real thing. Looks like a logic A or B type game. Nope it is candy crush type game. Simple defeat enemies to grow more powerful in right order. Nope way more advanced RPG dungeon crawler. How hard is it to just be honest. As soon as i click to go to download the app i will see it wasn't what i wanted and pass.
Today I heard an ad for I think it was chips, using a remix of Shaggy’s “Wasn’t me”. Because nothing sells chips like a song about a guy cheating on his girl...?
Local TikTok copycats that keep appearing on YouTube. The closest example I can think of. I haven’t watched *real* TV in ages. You can’t ads to despise if you never see them to begin with.
Been a while so... the recent M&Ms ones and mobile gaming ads in general (makes me wish I bought a Switch, I refuse to game on my phone)
