Also Grimlock from Dinobot and BWII Skywarp (aka the BW Silverbolt that was part of Magnaboss) from Airazor.

 

I'm never a fan of non-combining versions of combiner team members*, but I'll probably bite on Skywarp.

I'm also kind of hopeful that the Airrazor mold gets done up in a black and red deco as Shadow Condor - an upgrade to Laserbeak ala Ravage's Beast Wars incarnation.





*EDIT: Oh, except Animated Swindle. He rules.

 

I still hope that remold will be made to combine, i couldn't hope for something better than a beast wars predaking magnaboss...

 

Rumor is that Skywarp/Silverbolt will be part of a two pack with either Earthmode Mirage or Earthmode Sideswipe

 

Skywarp's with Mirage, and Sideswipe comes with Grimlock (BW)

 

Then I will definitely bite, because I'm getting those.

 

I know that rumor comes from a good source, but I’m more and more confused by it. Why are those releases described together, like they’d ship in a case, when it’s three deluxes and a voyager?

 

They're supposedly part of the same line of Amazon box sets, similar to the Alphastrike/Phantomstrike sets, Autobot Alliance/Coneheads and Galactic odyssey , all of those containing different size classes.

 

Think of it like generations selects, we've gotten 2 packs of deluxes (spin-out and cordon) but also mixed class releases too like the SG 2 pack

 

Magnaboss isn't in the plans from what I heard. Skywarp would be an easy option to repaint considering how small the changes really are between him and Airrazor... making a brand-new elephant and lion Transformer AND having them all combine would be a herculean feat.

 

When will the next "VirualCon" take place? I just want to see the next wave of Kingdom.

 

I don't know, if they stay close to the old engineering it should be easy.

 

At the very least I'd like to see a BW Prowl/Lio Jr from the Tigatron mold along with a BW Ironhide/Santon from Rhinox to go with the coming BW Skywarp/Silverbolt if only to get the three Magnaboss crew back together.

Besides if 3rd party/KO companies get a hold of the molds I'm sure they can retool them enough to give us a combining Magnaboss

 

Knowing how the last couple weeks have gone I wouldn't be surprised if we get a damn Zoids or MLP fff before we finally get a TF one, then everything will leak right before it and the suprise will be ruined.

Yeah. Besides the slight weakness of Silverbolt/Skywarp in the fact that it is, even though it is fairly stable, a victim of GPS, that toy has aged surprisingly well. Hasbro and TakaraTomy could easily take the original mold and just make tweaks to it to improve it. First of all, they could swap the brown GPS-victim plastic for just plain brown plastic. Secondly, they could fill in some of the hollow gaps, especially in the arms of Skybolt (I will refer to Silverbolt/Skywarp by "Skybolt" because "Silverwarp" doesn't sound as good). So, Skybolt could take some cues from Kingdom Airazor. Meanwhile, Ironhide/Santon could be based at least somewhat from Kingdom Rhinox (if the mold allows it). And Prowl/Lio Junior could at least take some cues from Kingdom Cheetor. At the time, Prowl/Lio Junior was a Basic Class figure and both Ironhide/Santon and Skybolt were Deluxe Class figures. To increase the size/scale of these three, Prowl/Lio Junior could be a Deluxe Class figure and the other 2 could be Voyager-Leader Class Figures.

 

I agree. Mine broke only a peg on a wing after all these years, also the wing tips can't open properly or they will break, but it's still good.
I wish we can see a new magnaboss after this discussion, as if we appearently got a JP crossover after someone posted comparison pics between megs and a rexy statue in a thread like this one... 

 

He's too bright. I think these pictures would be great if you were ale to darken Megatron to blend into the scene better

 

It's my camera. If I tried darker, then it would be really blurry.
