Well OP did just say he appeared, toy release has nothing to do with eligibility.

 

If we do get a Leader Motormaster I hope that he can do a Siege Magnus sort of thing where the trailer can form itself onto a full-size cab without significantly increasing the size of the figure, but hopefully somehow without partsforming.

I guess that really depends what people are looking for out of a generations figure. By being the old one with modern joints I’d say Whirl did it’s job even if it wasn’t the Whirl people wanted at the time, you know?

 

If I were HasTak and redoing *all* of the combiners I'd consider a new joint.

But if they were only going to do a few, I'd stick with CW joints. You'll sell more to people who just want upgrades than if you try to talk them in to replacing EVERYTHING.

 

If they were going to redo everything, what other sort of joints would you suggest?

 

if we do get a leader Motormaster, i really do think they'll reissue the rest of the stunticons on Pulse. they were perfectly good limbs. Can't see Hastak redoing all 4 and letting them take up mainline slots.

That's really the trick, isn't it? I don't know if a better universal joint would exist that didn't involve either far more investment than a complete redo of Scramble would be worth...or if they'd pivot away from scrambling and make each combiner dedicated connectors as needed.

That's why I'd stay CW compatible and start with the torsos. See if there's a market for another go at Scramble and if it ends up going well dive in to limbs.

 

Don't make it pulse! You know we wouldn't get it in the UK!

 

A new CW-compatible Motormaster without new Stunticons to go with him would seem like an odd choice, both from a business perspective (since it's been years since the CW figures were on shelves and most kids right now, still the supposed target demographic, probably don't have them) and stylistically (since the CW Stunticons would stick out like a sore thumb amongst WFC/SS86 car modes).

 

Yeah, to me the joints they'd have to make better are the ones on the actual seperate figures that provide the combiner's elbows, hips and the like.

 

If they do a new Motormaster he better have an actual head and not just a face in a box.

 

I'm still hoping for Titan Class-esque of new combiner boxsets to replace the Titan class.

Make the torso bots and limbs bigger in bot modes for bigger combiners (although not quite Devestator and Predaking size), and give the individual bots the current articulation that today's bots enjoy. Also....improve Devy and Predaking please, as their individual bot modes are quite lacking IMO.

 

But that's always been Motormaster's thing.

I do not know if it is scramble city inspired.
I do not know what gestalt looks like.
We are not getting CW Part 2, if more combiners happen they will be spread out one or maybe two a year max.
