I can live with laserbeak being a bird that becomes a drone and grants wing. Yeah. But hear me out further:

Red rum and blue monkey turn into motorcycles. They can pilot one another or ravage while in bot mode, and their bike mode tailpipes detach to become pile drivers. Similarly with laserbeak and ravage, the flying types can attach to red wine and blue raspberry's backs in bot mode. Obligatory buzzsaw and ratbat retools so every wheeled type gets some wings. To accommodate the extra minions soundwave gets an extra trailer that hooks on the back of van mode. The trailer itself can become extra armor for a powermaster soundwave type situation, or a micromaster base when not in trailer mode.

It's overkill and slugfest I'm having problems with.

 

Hear me out on this: Frenzy and Rumble combine into a rider a la Crosswise and Rook from Armada. Lazerbeak and Buzzsaw can be ridden by the little guys like Green Goblin's gliders, Ravage by the big rider. The gliders merge into wings, Ravage into a gun, frumble into piledrivers for Soundwave

Wait wait wait, have red pill and blue pill do the pants-forming thing from Energon/superlink, where their non combined forms are the pile drivers, then the combined rider still does all the cool stuff, minus the green goblin gliders unfortunately I guess. Or maybe not if their combining gimmick allows their top halves to still sit on the fliers.

Throwing this in with an edit because I don't wanna look like I'm intentionally hogging the thread: I just had a thought on what to do with slugfest and overkill -- beast modes that become an extra pair of pants for sarge and caboose, and then they also combine together to become a two handed mace/axe type weapon.

Since Transformers has made so many characters based upon so many vehicles, I say that Hasbro and TakaraTomy could easily create officially licensed Transformers to be bought at the car dealerships from where you can buy the actual cars they are based upon. Hasbro and TakaraTomy could ask the car companies "Do you want a Transformer that can only be bought at your dealership?" Not only are Transformers toys highly popular for families with kids, Transformers Toy Collectors, and Kids at heart, they would provide a very steady form of income for the car dealerships and give car fanatics something cool to have as they are so accurate. And, considering that they are officially licensed Transformers, they can be as accurate as the car companies want and as accurate as the designers can make them. It could be Alternators/Binaltech 2.0. Except this time, they don't need to be of established characters and they could be more CHUG-scaled.

Aveo Swerve did that. I think you had to take the Aveo for a test drive. It sucked and no one liked that ridiculous hassle

 

With how well SS86 Hot Rodn turns out as a figure with the additional pricepoint bump to Voyager Class, am I the only one that can get behind the idea of a new, modern Voyager Class Armada Sideways in the same vein as SS86 Hot Rod?

As one if this franchise's most unique villains and one of the most standout characters from Armada/Micron Legend, this Voyager Class Armada Sideways would includes features such as:

• Blast/shooting effect parts
• 2 Mini-cons heads (Crosswise and Rook, who both transforms into Sideways's alternate faction-switching heads, and can both combines to become a bike rider for Sideway's bike mode.
• Additional parts count to accommodate Sideway's signature faction-switching gimmick, a huge range of articulation, little to no hollow gaps, allows for integrating Sideway's optional neutral head (Like in the old Armada toy), as well as to allow for a more screen-accurate and well-proportioned robot and bike mode.
• Alternate smoke-ish colour effect parts, that integrates with the figure itself to represent Sideways slowly morphs into his trans-phase state.

 

I think he's too small to justify all that. There's little that he does that can't be accomplished with the deluxe price point imo

 

Perhaps a bit off topic since its not a toy idea, but I'd love an art-book cataloguing the art-work that they've been including on the packages and character cards for the Prime Wars and WfC trilogies. There's been a ton of really cool art that I've just thrown out because I don't want to horde packaging and bits of cardboard, and it'd be cool to have it all collected in one place.

 

I'd like to see a series of Core Class two packs. Both toys in the same pack would be the same mold.

A city bot that is a combiner, I.e. Metroplex made up of 6 different bots that form different types of building with "mobile base" modes.

And I'd like them to include more members into existing Combiners to solve the "Extra parts" conundrum. Like two small black and purple bots that turn into, idk, a generator and a sandblaster machine? That can form the arms, a headmaster (dirtboss?), and a partner for long haul to help form the torso, like a steamroller or front loading dump truck.
