No connection other than following each other and knowing of each other. I did ask DMS if he would carry some of VL's products and he said he'd maybe contact him to see. But VL seems perfectly capable of selling on his own, he just doesn't have even close to the same reach or reputation as DMS.

I purchased some upgraded parts for the NA Soundwave from Vinh Lee as well.

The Dual blaster with LED lights was $25 which I think is very fair for the amount of detail they have. He started working on the upgraded head recently but that seems nice too.

DMS is also doing the head and I noticed the windows are upgraded to make it more accurate.

I also got the chest/feet upgrade for mpm bumblebee to make him Dotm to face off soundwave.

    Durability mostly.
If at the very least the load bearing joints on a figure have ratchets they'll hold their poses much better and it'll take a lot longer if at all before the figure turns into a floppy mess.

I prefer ratchets as well, I just liked this figure so much, that I kinda broke my own rule.

    You are really a Ratchet-man :D

This and TC02 seriously are holding up very well even without ratchet, nothing to worry. Will be sad for not getting one just because of the ratchet

Quick question but...how on Earth did NEWAGE get away with putting the actual Mercedes-Benz logo on the figure, not get sued to oblivion for it, live to tell the tale, and still be around make new figures?!

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love that they did since I'm a sucker for accuracy down to the tee, which includes company logos and symbols. But I remember a third party company a few years ago attempted to make a DOTM Dino and used the real Ferrari logos on their figure, which casued them to get the ol' cease and desist from Ferrari themselves. Just seems weird to me that Mercedes-Benz is turning a blind eye to this.

Wow, if that's really all it takes to get away with putting a company logo on an unlicensed figure, I'm impressed.

The price is certainly a bit high but the Soundwave is REALLY well done. Possibly even worth the price. Laserbeak is pretty good too. Ravage does fee like a bit of an upscaled and slightly more articulated version of the old ROTF legends ravage and looks a bit out of place as it is not as detailed as the other two. Still it is a 3 for one and Soundwave really is fantastic.

I don't think he's that expensive. A Takara release would be the same price probably, and he feels the same as those Movie Masterpieces, maybe even better.
