Where did people end up using the screw hole covers on the various bots?

I decided to roll the dice at TFSource and picked up Constructor. All the same breaks you described as well as a busted waist unit. These screws are the worst as some are already stripped.

 

That sucks. Hope you can get it sorted out.

 

Looks like TFs is just not a good place to source a constructor. Showz would gave been the best option, but of course he is sold out from what I can see. Good luck brother. A real shame.

 

I usually contact Show Z personally on Facebook. That's how I was able to get a V2 set even though his website said it was out of stock. Never hurts to try.

 

Got mine at TFSource. Had som eissues, but they seem to be the ones endemic to Constructor in general.

Moreover, TFSource quickly replaced a broken part, and then sent another when the post office lost it. Couldn't ask for better customer service, with the bonus of not having to wait to get replacement parts from China.

Not casting any dispersions on Show Z. Have bought a number of toys from them, and they have been great to deal with.

 

The boys have been deco'd and are ready to combine and form Devastator.



I wish that they had painted the eyes. Light piping just makes them look lifeless.

 

I dont blame tfsource they ship what they get..as i was going through getting mine and fixing mine went back and watched bsf and emgo videos..seems like qc issues have existed since the begining..that said with the fixes in place this guy is solid..i guess some assembly is just required..i mean they are "construction" bots right lol

 

Yep. The light piping is a pointless feature IMHO.

 

Some, such as Concrete (Mixnaster) have structures that block the light from ever hitting the piping.

I painted the dead eyes on mine. I think they look much better.


I paint all my figures that have light piped or LED eyes.

 

They look fantastic! What paint do you use?

 

I used tamiya red mixed with tamiya chrome silver. The chrome silver adds a shiny metallic look.
