    Marsh Unit

The Marsh Unit was designed to be a close combat swampland warrior.

In robot mode, the Unit has clamp joint hands and is partnered with a Tread Drone. The Marsh Unit shares a template with the Hunter Unit. Consequently, they both are partnered with an assist drone for transformation and in the Marsh Unit's case, a surveillance type. The drone can submerge under water for extended periods of time, record mass amounts of enemy positions and convert into the weapon of the Unit like the Hunter Unit; in this case a Chainsaw Tonfa. The Unit is average in armor and speed, but it lacks in long range weaponry. It's shoulder mounted Rocket Launcher is fairly inaccurate. IMG_20201111_140414915.jpg IMG_20201111_140722787.jpg IMG_20201111_140607783.jpg
In amphibious tank mode, the Unit gains access to a Twin Pressure Cannon. A strategy used by the Unit is to hide in shallow, swampy water and siphon liquid to be launched at enemies with extreme force. Due to this, the Unit does not function well in dry areas, only being able to shoot dust and dirt. It's armor is capable of withstanding heavy water pressure, but it cannot move particularly fast. Flame Unit

The Flame Unit was designed to serve as a standard flamethrower soldier.

In robot mode, the Unit has clip joint hands and wields a standard Friction Flamethrower. This dangerous weapon can spray a jet of fire or friction liquid. This solution quickly explodes on contact with nearly anything, allowing the Unit to easily set up traps in a defensive situation. Also standard is a Grappling Hook, which can be used to get into advantageous situations or grapple unwary enemies closer. The addition of flame-proof armor allows the Unit to wade through its own fire easily. The Unit's speed is slightly above average, but it's armor is weak to conventional attacks. IMG_20201205_192813832.jpg IMG_20201205_193044762.jpg
In flamethrower tank mode, the Unit can use both weapons to good effect. The vehicle is fairly slow, but has higher armor composition. The flame nozzle has the ability to change to a wider spray in alt mode; Unit formations of large horizontal lines can easily be warded away. Caution must be taken with Unit placement, as Flame Units are dangerous to allies if they are targeted with explosive weapons. IMG_20201205_192521868.jpg IMG_20201205_192547685.jpg

    Cavalry Unit

The Cavalry Unit was designed to act as a mounted close range warrior.

In robot mode, the Unit has clip joint hands and carries a Multi-Weapon, capable of converting to a spear, scythe or heavy bow depending on what is needed. The Unit is notably partnered with a Equinoid Drone which acts as it's mount. While the drone does have improved speed and intelligence compared to other types, it's armor is poor. For self defense, the Drone has two Rocket Launchers mounted. The Unit itself does not have a conventional vehicle mode, but it's drone makes for a substitute. The two cannot combine if separated. IMG_20201205_191357226.jpg IMG_20201205_191211105.jpg IMG_20201205_190837228.jpg
The two can combine into a super mode, a slightly slower but powerful warrior. The Multi-Weapon is usable to greater effect, due to being less unwieldy. Armor is also increased when combined, but the Unit lacks any long range weaponry. Charging into battle is not a worry and can be used to great effect; small platoons can be quickly wiped out if unprepared. As with most super modes, prolonged use is taxing on both partners. IMG_20201205_192212162.jpg IMG_20201205_192255967.jpg IMG_20201205_192438237.jpg

    Flail Unit

The Flail Unit was designed as a defensive close combat Unit.

In robot mode, the Unit features posable clamp joint hands and wields it's signature Snare Flail. This weapon is made of similar components to the Liquid Unit's body, meaning it can constrict around enemies as though it has a mind of its own. The Unit also carries a swappable Energy Shield and Quad Rocket Launcher, both for use on an adapter for the right arm. The Unit's armor and power is fairly high, but it lacks any real mobility in either mode. IMG_20201220_133358286.jpg IMG_20201220_133507051.jpg IMG_20201220_133612821.jpg
In maser cannon mode, the Unit combines it's weapons to form a Newtype Maser Dish, a strong laser weapon that can easily wipe through light infantry and vehicles. While the weapon is powerful, it is difficult to aim move the dish quickly. Luckily, the Unit can take time to adjust due to an internal light shielding system for alt mode. Overall, the Unit is suited for a defensive role, as it's lack of speed does not suit advances. IMG_20201220_132825241.jpg IMG_20201220_132910184.jpg

    Terminal Unit

The Terminal Unit was designed to act as a defensive communications officer.

In robot mode, the Unit has posable clamp joint hands and is armed with a shoulder mounted Dual Autocannon for defense. The Unit is not meant for front lines and is often enlisted in domestic settings; heavy weaponry is not needed. The Unit does not have any outstanding qualities, but it's small stature allows it to get into small spaces. IMG_20201220_133848098.jpg IMG_20201220_133921170.jpg In terminal mode, the Unit takes the form of an immobile computer terminal. This altmode allows access to larger central computers or bases when in range, as the Unit is able to connect without a direct wiring. The Unit also has a unique ability to upgrade and repair allied weaponry, even being able to "trade" weapons with a home base. Despite these great abilities, the Unit has no direct combat value. The Terminal Unit works well in conjunction with the Blueprint Unit. IMG_20201220_133642779.jpg IMG_20201220_133650917.jpg

    Sidecar Unit

The Sidecar Unit was designed as a simple high damage attacker.

In robot mode, the Unit features a clamp joint hand and a Weapon Rack Limb. The right arm is combined as a Twin Heavy Laster and Smoke Grenade Launcher which can act as a simple manipulator. The Unit itself has high damage output due to it's weaponry, but lack of armor and an asymmetrical weapon layout leaves it vulnerable; loss of the right limb leaves the Unit with little weaponry. The Unit has two retractable Rapid Pulse Guns secured on the legs for close range backup. IMG_20201220_134326677.jpg IMG_20201220_134418638.jpg IMG_20201220_134552422.jpg
In motorcycle mode, the Unit has access to all it's various weaponry, though the leg guns are more difficult to use. The Unit's defining feature is it's sidecar, capable of carrying smaller Units. The Unit is a capable escort for targetmasters and headmasters, so many Units of the body type tend to be binary-bonded. The Unit possess high speed but it's weaponry is only oriented forwards, making it easy to take it out from behind. IMG_20201220_133950899.jpg IMG_20201220_134016163.jpg

    Longbow Unit

The Longbow Unit was designed with long range heavy damage in mind.

In robot mode, the Unit features clamp joint hands and can wield the altmode bolts as light rapiers. The Unit itself is nimble and well armored but lacks offensive weaponry. However, the Unit's optic is particularly powerful, able to zoom in at incredible lengths for most cybertronians. The Longbow Unit has good synergy with the Hunter Unit. IMG_20201220_134610511.jpg IMG_20201220_134714055.jpg
In longbow mode, the Unit reveals it's function as a long range offensive soldier. The bow mode fires heavy Nano Bolts, large arrows that can actively send information back to the Unit such as aim trajectory and enemies downed. Despite the power available, firing and aiming the altmode is difficult and often requires external sights and platforms to fire from. The bow acts like an actual bow and can be difficult to draw back. Running out of ammunition can also be an issue that may arise. IMG_20201220_135223345.jpg IMG_20201220_135813854.jpg

    Pretender Unit

The Pretender Unit was designed as a heavily armored brawler.

In robot mode, the Unit has clamp joint hands and carries no external weapons. Due to the pretender shell, most Units require a small and light bodyframe to accommodate it. The Unit itself has no real outstanding abilities on its own, but it's small size can be used to some advantages in combat. The Unit comes equipped with a Compressible Pretender Shell, which can compress for travel and quicker usage. IMG_20210121_174418791.jpg IMG_20210121_174706081.jpg
In light jet mode, the Unit continues to have to be light and fragile for the pretender shell. Luckily from this, the Until is quite agile and has potential to be a good courier. The mode has twin AGM Repeaters equipped for defense. IMG_20210121_175154076.jpg IMG_20210121_175225988.jpg
The Unit can combine with the shell to gain a super mode. The armor is bulky and slow, but extremely high armored. The suit is equipped with a heavy gripper hand and a Dual Rocket Launcher. This makes the Unit capable of proper hand to hand combat and feats of amazing strength. As with most super modes however, the armor is taxing on the Unit's health and is particularly vulnerable to mode-locking. The Unit also lacks long range weaponry, but it's armor can sustain most of the damage it receives. IMG_20210121_173905265.jpg IMG_20210121_173946139.jpg

    Sensor Unit

The Sensor Unit was designed to act as an infiltration prevention soldier.

In robot mode, the Unit has a Stun Claw hand and a Grappling Hook. The Unit only has two Pressure Cannons located on the hip for self defense, but it does not necessarily need a large arsenal; the Unit often takes the role of stopping spies and infiltrators in defensive situations. To help in detecting cloaked enemies, the Unit has a Vision Spec that can retract into the chest. IMG_20210121_175541945.jpg IMG_20210121_175640262.jpg
In sensor array mode, the Unit splits into three traps: a tripwire, a bear trap and a detection laser. These can operate independently but are all controlled by the Unit itself. However, they cannot move on their own and they must be moved by another Unit to reposition or even combine into robot mode. Due to this, the components are not spread out very far from each other. Each trap has a local cloaking module, but it's low power makes each module last for a fairly short time. IMG_20210121_175316873.jpg IMG_20210121_174543672.jpg

    Titan Lock Unit

The Titan Lock Unit was designed to restrain titans in their alt modes.

In robot mode, the Unit has clamp joint hands and carries it's Shrapnel Shotgun, a high damage spreading weapon. The Unit itself is not particularly outstanding in abilities, but it does have the perk of being highly armored for the alternate mode. The Unit does not tend to interact with the battlefield, so a larger arsenal is not needed. In both modes, the Unit is unfazed by most EMPs to its systems. IMG_20210214_115646710.jpg IMG_20210214_115729140.jpg
In titan lock mode, the Unit converts into a large electromagnetic lock. The main purpose used is to quite literally "lock" robot mode conversion of titans and larger Units. This can be done through using the lock to prevent titan joints from moving, or directly link up with their brain modules. Consequently, the Unit is used to prevent highly populated or unstable titans from causing too much damage. The shotgun converts into a key to unlock the Unit's transformation, causing the titan to be free. This can be useful as a manual override if the Titan Lock Unit goes rogue. Halfbody Unit

The Halfbody Unit was designed as an augmentation and specialist warrior.

In robot mode, the Unit may or may not even have hands, but often uses clamp joint style manipulators. By design, the Half body Unit is made up from two altmodes combining to make a whole Unit. These two halfbodies each have their own personality and combine to create a new individual in robot mode; Units tend to identify by the two halfbodies that make them up, as constant switching with others cause confusion. The halfbodies shown are the buggy, tank, ghost and photon types (red-blue-white-yellow). Buggy bestows a shoulder Rocket Launcher and a Repeater Saber, while the tank gives a powerful Vortex Cannon hand augment and a Smoke Grenade Launcher. Ghost gives a Twin Rebounder Blade and allows a personal subspace storage pocket in the foot, while photon emits harsh light from the hand mounted Giga Flash Beam. Any type of halfbody can be created and matched with another, but the overall design of the Unit tends to be clumsy; therefore, it's a specialty Unit. Power and armor vary between combinations. It's center is always a weak point, regardless of combination. IMG_20210203_161838450.jpg IMG_20210203_162029664.jpg IMG_20210203_162433813.jpg
In alternate mode, the Unit will split into the two halfbodies that make it up. These depend entirely on the specialty of the halfbody, but tank and buggy are ground based while ghost and photon are capable of flight. Photon gains extra SAM Missile launchers and buggy uses the saber in repeater gun mode. Although the halfbodies can be of any composition, they tend to be fairly weak. As with all combining Units, a left and right halfbody must be present for the Unit to form. IMG_20210203_161109802.jpg IMG_20210203_161159807.jpg IMG_20210203_161130939.jpg

Interesting. The combination form is. Kinda like duocons reimagined.

    Dupe Unit

The Dupe Unit was designed to deceive and confuse the enemy in large scale fights.

In robot mode, the Unit has a Shredding Claw hand and a Tracker Cannon on the other arm. This weapon boosts the signal for other Units' homing weapons when it lands hits on targets. The Unit's outstanding ability is that of creating duplicates of itself. These "shadows" can act independently from the Unit itself and are durable enough to take a few hits before dissipating. The clones can be re-summoned quickly, but repeated usage or having more than a few out at once can mentally damage the Dupe Unit. Clones also cannot perfectly copy their creators, turning monochrome and lacking personality. The Unit and it's clones also can perform a spinning attack by deploying a back mount and engaging a rapidly rotating swivel in their waist. The claw hand can do heavy damage up close this way. IMG_20210303_152041162.jpg IMG_20210303_151956094.jpg IMG_20210303_152156948.jpg
In jet mode, the Unit has access to it's ranged weapons, but cannot use it's swivel waist for obvious reasons. The alt mode is fairly quick but very low armored and underpowered. Despite this, the Unit can clone itself much easier, reaching nearly a dozen at once to make a full squadron of jets. This can be useful as a feigned sneak attack; dozens of Units appearing at once from seemingly nowhere gives a tactical advantage, even if the Units cannot do much damage themselves. IMG_20210303_151626072.jpg IMG_20210303_151604278.jpg
(I am considering redoing some of my older Units from before this thread was created to bring them up to a better quality and to try out new ideas of their core theme. Generation 2 Units perhaps? I have one in mind as of now that I'm nearly finished with. Any in particular that any of you would recommend I look at?)

    Wasteland Unit Generation 2

The G2 Wasteland Unit was designed as an update to the original Wasteland Unit design

In robot mode, the Unit features unique Guided Missile Launchers for hands and carries a heavy hip mounted Shrapnel Mini-Gun. These weapons are capable of doing heavy damage but require large amounts of ammunition and stabilization. The Unit is highly energy efficient and capable of operating in rust sea locations. It also boasts improved armor compared to it's predecessor but lacks in robot mode speed. IMG_20210214_115251270.jpg IMG_20210214_115337092.jpg
In dune buggy mode, the Unit can use it's heavy weapon to greater effect due to the altmode's improved speed. This combined with it's agility and superior suspension allows it to execute hit and run tactics extremely effectively. The tires are also built for sandy and debris ridden areas, capable of bounding large regions in quick times. The Unit also gains a light radio transmitter, though even it cannot function in certain landscapes dependent on distance. IMG_20210214_114951457.jpg IMG_20210214_114959468.jpg

    Hook Unit

The Hook Unit was designed to close the distance in mid range combat.

In robot mode, the Unit has modified clamp style hands and can utilize it's signature Hooking Clamp. This large hook can be thrown, returned to the user and grapple enemies much easier than other grappling hooks. This makes it much easier to pull enemies into vulnerable positions. The hook's towline can withstand the pulling weight of the largest Units, but the Hook Unit's weight in comparison may cause it to be the one pulled around. Although the line connecting the hook is quite strong, severing it will leave the Unit defenseless. The Unit boasts above average armor but lacks in speed and ranged weaponry. IMG_20210214_120045624.jpg IMG_20210214_120136302.jpg
In cannon truck mode, the Unit can make up for it's robot mode weaknesses. Equipped with two large Cluster Bomb Launchers and an adequately fast vehicle mode, the Unit can maintain it's ground. By this, the Unit can grapple an enemy into a vulnerable location and bombard them with vehicle mode weaponry. However, the hook cannot be used in vehicle mode. Trench Unit

The Trench Unit was designed to dig trenches for various applications.

In robot mode, the Unit has a heavy gripper hand and the altmode's Entrenching Saw mounted, the latter not a particularly good weapon. While the Unit otherwise has no weapons, it doesn't necessarily need them. The Unit sometimes is useful in warfare, but the body frame is more often used for construction. The Unit itself does not have very many outstanding features, but some equiped for combat are capable of emitting a smokescreen from the right shoulder vent. IMG_20210303_153031926.jpg IMG_20210303_153110073.jpg
In entrenching vehicle mode, the Unit can use it's saw to properly dig trenches. The vehicle mode is slow but very stable, allowing it to have excellent precision. This can also be used for debris clearing, but other Units such as the Plow Unit are more efficient in that speciality. Once again, it lacks combat potential but it can dig fairly quickly. This combined with it's triple set of work lights allow it to work both in and against night stealth missions. IMG_20210303_152214811.jpg IMG_20210303_152223001.jpg

    Ferry Unit

The Ferry Unit was designed to carry much more vehicles and equipment over seas than other Units.

In robot mode, the Unit is equipped with a set of Explosive Knuckles on the hands. These combined with the Shrapnel Cannon on the left hand makes the Unit a difficult opponent to fight. However due to its size, lack of speed and near titan body type, the Unit is not suited for direct attacks on enemies. While the Unit can act in a civilian atmosphere, it's specially included shielding and weaponry makes it better for military operations. IMG_20210303_153500383.jpg IMG_20210303_153532058.jpg
In ferry mode, the Unit can use it's cannon to slightly less effect but gains two Guided Missile Launchers and a light AA Stun Turret to compensate. Uniquely, the shielding used is not a dome type, rather wrapped around the Unit's surface. This makes it harder to take it down haphazardly, unless the robot mode generator located on the left hip is targeted. Without shielding, the Unit's lack of speed and large footprint is apparent. While the carrying capacity is quite high, the back area is much more protected than the rest. IMG_20210303_153124303.jpg IMG_20210303_153148188.jpg

    Shredder Unit

The Shredder Unit was designed as an air equivalent to the Gash Unit

In robot mode, the Unit features clip joint hands and carries two Vibro-Slashers. These handheld blades can easily cut through most surfaces and armor. While the Unit has very low armor, it's stealth capabilities and high speed in both modes make up for it. In addition, the Unit's enhanced optic allows it to track and monitor enemies through thick clouds and heavy rain. Functioning as a guerilla melee attacker, the Unit is extremely dangerous to large cargo bodyframes and those to slow to escape it's weaponry. While the Unit has limited flight capabilities in robot mode, it can hover for extended amounts of time. IMG_20210314_105643086.jpg IMG_20210314_105740185.jpg
In stealth jet mode, the Unit does not have any ranged weapons, preferring to use it's now available twin hologram projectors to get the drop on unaware enemies. The Unit can easily hide in most clouds or even in clear day with enough power supplied to the cloaking devices. The vehicle mode is quite fast, but again, low on armor. The body type takes a great amount of skill to use optimally due to its hit and run stylization. Using the blades in vehicle mode is possible, but not reliable.
