Still hoping they repaint Assaultus as ruination. Would much prefer that over G2 Bruticus.

Well I got a reply very fast from them! This is their reply message on FB.
Seems like they are definitely willing to work with people on getting replacement parts. I’ll update everyone to see what parts I get and how long it took. So far even with this figure having a very rocky start, it’s good to see that their customer service is still A+.

I look forward to a list of what and where to look for breakage coming out of this thread. I'm probably out until the second run anyway, but it's so hard to wait.

Ha, while I was sending pictures to FH regarding the cracks, I found this nasty looking crack in the core primes hips. Both sides. Sigh..

Oh my God...so many Issues and Cracks on 1 Figure. The Material Quality they use
must be really bad. I wanted to buy this one, but not anymore.

Bad Quality for a High Price.
If the Price would be around 120$-150$
    Or at least below 180$
I could somehow understand or justify a purchase. But not on a 230$ Figure.

I hope they will do a Galaxy Prime in the Future, but with better Quality and below 200$. That would be an Instant purchase.

How are the joints holding up with the superglue buddy? I’d like to try that myself if it really helps, mainly on the swinging hinge to get the super mode head out of the truck cab.

It’ll be whatever fix they come up with as of writing this nothing is broken but the cracks look very slightly bigger..

I would love nothing more than for MMC to go after UT designs in the scale of their Reformatted line..especially with what they did with Optus Pexus *drool*

A Maketoys cross dimension themed UT line would be VERY interesting too!

Also, on a side note Fanshobby will provide you with replacement parts for more than one copy of Naval Commander if you provide them with invoices and pictures on each copy so don’t worry if you have two or more they’ll help you out!

Someone earlier posted that exact same crack. People said it was because of some user error... So it's definitely not. That figure is a mess!

So if your figure has all the cracks in all the places the have been mentioned so far, you think FH will basically send out whole new copies?

    Because that’s what’s needed...

They genuinely might do if the core robot is the only problematic part on your copy.

I just noticed that mine also has this crack very faintly on the right leg..definitely stress from pulling apart the super mode shoulders.

Maybe on a V2 the blue crotch and the waist could be made of diecast to prevent this, it’d give him some weight too.

So far honestly it’s holding up shockingly well! I applied a few coats on both leg areas where the new cracks were forming in hopes that it’ll help. Overall though everything else is doing great, I can even lock the red chest panels in without any notice or cracks getting bigger.

I would’ve LOVED if the extending areas on the arms and legs were unlocked via a button. That’s the easiest way to do that. Those legs require way too much force to extend to the point where I have to unscrew both legs, extend them, and then screw them back in.

Yeah it’s due to those leg extenders being insanely tight. Which absolutely have no reason to be so tight. I’m really hoping FH just gives people a whole new core figure. I’ve had no cracking issues in the trailer at all.

Yes buttons would have been perfect on the arms, legs and splitting waist.

How about the back skirts of the trailer? I know those have been problematic for a few users here

No issues on my copy so far. Once you get familiar with the telescoping ratchets on the back skirts, they move easy and have no signs of stress or cracks.

Further thinking about it, what if the waist split was instead done by a strong magnet or two instead of pegs and ports or buttons? Could maybe add a clip to secure the connection..

Forgot to share this.. perfect sized screwdriver and the screw stripped like it was made of play doh. Even dremeling the head off it took absolutely no pressure which was insane. The other head screws were all absolutely fine, even. Unfortunately though the super mode head now is off with half a screw stuck in the neck so I'm SOL.

Fans Hobby 8s actually sending out another core bot at this point so I'm just displaying this one in plain Optimus mode and the other will hopefully be better and able to be displayed in super mode.

One thing I noticed was that the neck ball joint and peg for the super mode head look like a 3d printed piece vs injection molded or whatever. Anyone who's had 3d print stuff will notice the second they see it.

I was talking in a chat about how weird it is to access the screws on the head and someone brought up that the LEDs on the head may have been an afterthought. Do you guys know if the LEDs wee advertised from the jump? Even the way that the head doesn't simply pop on and off the ball joint is bizarre.

This happened to me, no idea why that screw is done in so tightly.

Yup same thing here with the screw, absurdly tight and I had spent a good 15 minutes or so slowly turning that thing as it felt soft. And I’m noticing a lot of areas that look 3D printed instead of injected plastic. A lot of the blue plastics have the print lines from what I could tell.

As for the light up eyes I don’t remember seeing that being advertised up until it’s final images. I could totally be wrong though.

That’s at least good to hear they are sending a fully new core robot. Fingers crossed here too..
