Well there are two options for him actually, the Hasbro green and TakTom green which were actually very different from each other.

Had this pretty lady a last weeks but don't have time to mess with it. Words of caution, pls be extra careful when you mess with her and treat her as if how Knockout is taking care of his paint job. Be extra careful during transformation or plugging in / removing the weapons For me, I won't be transforming this to avoid paint chip

The paint on Arcee is pretty. I really appreciate those extra paint APC added to her and it makes a whole lot of difference

• Added paint to the lower arm
• New head sculpt. Thin is what I like with all APC release where they try to bring the head scuplt as screen accurate as possible instead of just straight KO
• Retractable bike handle which makes the look of Arcee more streamline fr front or back view
• Backpack can collapse further near to the body to make it flatter

I seriously hope that APC can continue with their products and release the whole crew if TFP.

Sounding like paint chipping is a concern on this one, that said the blue metallic looks like just the right shade that possibly a blue sharpie could be use to touch up small areas. Here's hoping!

Too tall.  

 

Mine arrived today, and she's not bad. Her blue is marvelous, but I still hate the shoulder guards that should be wings, as they limit her shoulder movement, and I still think she's too tall in bot mode.

She's still a nice figure though, and I look forward to the next *coughBulkheadcough* release.

 

I agree with you on the shoulder guards. For me, that the biggest flaw with the FE Arcee, which should've been addressed, above all other things.

That being said, this version is still very tempting to get, even though I already own the FE version.

 

Received mine in the post today. First thoughts were how nice she looked. The paint is really nice, and the figure poses well (although the limbs are a little loose)

 

...and then I transformed the figure. Hoo boy, that paint is fragile.
I actually didn't transform it fully, because there were some tight tabs that are quite visible in robot mode, and the paint was already flaking badly anywhere the parts touched. If you look closely at the images, you can actually see that the gloss coat is already cracking badly (it was like this straight from the box), which leads me to believe that APC are having issues with the paint they're using at a factory level. I can't recommend this figure if you have any ambitions to actually transform it, because once you start to peg pieces together, you'll wreck the look of the toy. Shame, APC, because this was very nearly the definitive Prime Arcee.

Yikes. Now I'm nervous, I'm sorry you got a bad copy but I also hope that's it just a one-off. I would 100% contact my seller for a refund, that's unacceptable quality.

 

*ouch* that really sux! either the plastic is too flexy, and/or the paint is too brittle!  

 

Damn shame about the flaking paint....guess it's a good thing I won't be transforming her.

 

I will wait for 2nd release.

2nd release of APC Optimus with metallic paint looks a lot better than 1st one. The same for Megs. I just hope there will be a 2nd release of Arcee  

 

Unfortunately, I've seen other reviews that have had the same issue  
The chipping seems to be on any parts that have that cracked finish that can be seen in certain pictures above. Whether its the paint reacting badly to certain plastics on the figure, or whether it's just a bad batch of paint, I'd not recommend transforming Arcee.

 

I have the original version so this is going to be my "display/showpiece" version. Still sucks knowing that I shouldn't transform it.
