You're right. I only said it in jest as a nudge for those on the fence to grab the line.

    Apologies to all.

So MM got back and basically stated that they don't know what's next and that no new designs have currently been planned.

Personally I think it'd be good to see them take a bit of a transformers break. Flex their creativity with another franchise for a bit.

Thanks for looking into that for us!

I agree, while it sucks for fans of their TF based stuff, they've had a fantastic run in the third party scene. As far as I know, they may be the only 3p company that has released everything they've announced, before leaving the scene.

Most other places stop producing items, for whatever reason, with things still in the pipeline, that fans never get to see. So it's nice to see them step back without (as far as we know) getting sued or absconding with investors money!

Hopefully they do decide to keep making high end robots in some respect, because I'd love to see more of their products in my displays.l, but if not, they have had a spectacular run.

Honestly, I have been thinking for quite a while that Master Made's direction was unsure after Devy. Although, I had not considered the possibility that they'd actually move away from TF's (even if just for the time being). But let's see, it seems to me that Devastator is already performing significantly better then their last two figures (judging from reviews and the attention it's getting here atleast).

It's not performing any better as all of these figures are legitimately the same figure at their base. It's getting attention because it's new and just had a limited run sent out. FOMO I'm sure is apparent.

    ----------

It's all subjective but if I had name "ONE" figure as the definitive piece of this line It'd be Apollo. Best overall mixture of aesthetic, gimmicks, and quality.

    ----------

Edit: This response isn't to simply be argumentative or anything but after having had it and messing around with it for a while now I feel that the individual bot modes are borderline throwaway, I've had random pinned pieces just come out (unfortunately post-review so I couldn't notate,) and just the overall having areas that don't tab to stay in place like I feel they should, it almost feels a bit rushed. I think the novelty of having it be a full on combiner puts it towards the top of the line in terms if cool factor but as a functional and well-engineered figure it ranks towards the bottom for me.

That sucks, was looking forward to the individual robots. Hopefully these issues are just a case of your typical pre-cny rush job and can be fixed for the second run.

    Anyways, awaiting your review.

Excellent review as always. I was a bit concerned about the individual bots as some of MasterMade’s smaller guys had bad joint tolerances for me (Zarak in particular). Looks like most of them seem ok from your review though some had inconsistent leg tolerances or limited articulation. Good call on the shock oil. And I love that you figured out how to get some weapon storage with the big guy (strange that he doesn’t seem to have as many weapon ports as usual but maybe that’s necessary for a combiner).

So just to confirm, the main bot and large default head has no electronics? Kinda surprised as I thought previously all MasterMade figures had some kind of light up feature even without their statue upgrade.

I really like that this can be combine without extra torso and thighs, or shoulder attachment like some of the recent combiners. That individual bots looks simple but it does show that they try to have them all transformed differently. I stop buying mostly transformers but I keep buying MasterMade stuff , I really like the look and style of your products.

If they want to change from transformers hopefully they will move back to Macross .

iirc the arm bots connect to a separate piece that contains the shoulder mount and forearms, so i guess he still requires a separate attachment by your definition?

Oops , your right , I miss that shoulder thing from the transformation video . I kinda gave the forearms a free pass since pretty much all of them were never hidden into the arms . Even when others try to make it seems like a extra generator attachment. .
Yeah they still ended up using some extra pieces.

Thank you for reviewing this. The individual figures really do look awkward with Iron Factory. I knew they would be off, but they really don’t work a all.

They still seem like a really fun set tho.

Unfortunately it was hard to see the little bots well. Perhaps a downward camera angle would have been more efficient. On the positive tho: you have beautiful hands. Lol.

    Thanks again!

Thanks and as stated in the review no electronics outside of the statue display torso. I don't know how I feel about it... it's weird that it doesn't have the gimmick but I don't miss it.

damn i see the prices have really jumped up since the pre-orders were released last year. Ebay is showing over $300 (incl shipping) for this guy. I think $300USD is a lot to pay for this guy, not sure if that is worth the price of admission.....

It does, there is a piece on the back of the head that you can use to open it.

I am scratching my head looking for weapon storage for Scrapper in individual robot mode. The other 5 all have weapon storage, but I can't find a place on him to put his in his robot mode.

Just got mine.  Hands down, the individual boys are.
    ☆F a n t a s t i c ☆
Like wow, they\'re actuslly great to transform,  not too simple not too hard.
Sure SOME of the bots have articulatuon limitations, but they all have every basic articulated joint.  Elbow, knee, etc etc. One of them has a abe crunch!
But one of then ccan\'t do splits. (That\'s nature of transformation and given how small they are!)
I\'m very impressed. With individual bots. Bot to mention H O L Y CRAP. they look AWESOME.
I WOULD legit buy another set for just the individual bots separate  to Devestator   .

    They\'re so fun!♡
Theyre a bit shorter than the FortMax Head master figure  . And just about the same size as the mini PowerMaster Optimus.  But larger than the Palm warriors figures.
