You know people complain about MMC reusing molds but it seems like mold reuse means more runs for figures, as you can run parts for more than one figure at once. Unique molds like Sky Lynx and Overlord seem harder to get reruns for because they (MMC) have to bank on a lot of new orders to make it worthwhile.

 

This is correct. Having said this, I dont think I'd want a "Masterpiece Sky Lynx" and bigger than the MMC figure. I'm very happy with mine.

 

Ah well, looks like I have to hope somebody, somewhere, somehow becomes allergic to their MMC Sky Lynx and/or objects to it on religious grounds and either leaves it gift-wrapped on my doorstep, hurls it through my window attached to a wad of £50 notes, or decides to put it on eBay. God, this hobby is so frustrating sometimes.

Can't find those bloody KFC cassette bots, either. Mumble grumble burn the world in unholy nuclear fire etc...

I totally foresee KFC/XTB redoing the very first ones and possibly reissuing the later ones (like the Rewind/Eject).

I don't think he had a huge production run. With how scarce he seems to be I'd bet his run was actually very low, maybe just a little over the factory minimum.

 

I'm not even sure they made equal parts of both halves. Haven't looked lately, but it was odd how much more available one half was than the other.

 

They felt so unloved that they all flew off into space.

 

Solid figure.... The Magna (lynx) is definitely harder to find

As am I. I was only able to collect one set [which kinda drives me nuts] but in their combined mode, they certainly are impressively large. And I use the WfC set as the separate bots and alt mode display.

 

I'm looking for Inventa/Magna here in Europe. Does anyone know that there will be a reissue or would someone (in europe) sell on ebay in the near future?

Ok. Potentially newb question here but how does the battery sit in the compartment for Inventa?
I've tried on its side both ways and inserting full on doesn't make sense considering the connections are on the sides. I haven't found any videos online that mention it, seems ppl haven't even bothered with the light. And it's LR41? Because again someone mentioned the manual says that, but mine definitely does not. I'm going by what a retailer site has written.

I never used the lights on mine.
