Oh crazy, I just saw the video of Spence and realized I met him a few times. The original A3U location here used to be in a mall here and I used to go there quite a bit.

This is what really stuck with me. I picked up the mods to fix his shoulders but without the figure in front of me, I haven’t really settled on what I want to do with him.

I like the character enough to want the best possible car and robot mode given how much each varies from one piece to the next. Takara’s vehicle mode is really great. But I do like the added height and proportions of Hoodlum, I just want to sort out his arms and shoulders at some point.

May also have to invest the effort in the neck fix too.

Exactly this. @ibot or anyone else who can maybe get a straight answer from him: Can you please answer this question?!

Saying how you plan to fix this will go a long way to ease the tension of those of us who really still want this figure. Especially those of us who truly need a replacement part for every single part of the figure.

I'd infintely want a good quality version of Locke versus sending this back for a refund.

I'd wager XTB doesn't know what they're actually going to do yet and everything being shut down for CNY probably doesn't help explore options.

For what it's worth I think the only real options are full refunds or replacements for all existing orders and it'll probably come down to which is the most cost effective.

Doesn't mean they won't try some shenanigans but I think those options are the only ones with any actual integrity.

Oh, for sure. I guess what I'm curious about it is, how they'll fulfil the replacements. Like, will XTB be sending out full figures to everyone who bought one? Or just doing a full second run, and relying on the exchange process to go through your retailer?

Likewise, will they be doing a full seind run, so those who already returned their product can simply purchase a new one?

Not that I expect anyone to know this now...just would be nice to have some kind of insight.

Ppl will not be getting free new ‘fixed’ figures, at least not without paying shipping to send the old copies back (actually I’m almost certain they won’t be getting ‘fixed’ figures w/o coughing up more dough regardless but I’m trying to be optimistic lol)

Everyone has the warped piece that the head is on right? And most people have thigh connection and lower leg tab issues? What's the minimal amount of pieces that could fix most Lockes? Could you get a new set of legs, a flap for the head to sit on and some forearm/hand areas? That is already most of a figure right there.

for sure, giving Keith the benefit of the doubt as this is XTB worst QC IMO release from the reviews the figure looks so slap together fast and sloppy. I mean damn the sprue mark cuts was on almost every part for most copies.

I do hope when Keith is back the issues are sorted out and a proper release is made and for those who already picked this up a whole new “fixed” figure is replaced for them.

No one is going to give you a free replacement, get your money back and wait for a proper release.

I "cherry picked" that specific quote to try to get you to understand that you were, in fact, belittling and playing down the issues of people who had broken or defective copies of Jabber. And apparently you aren't aware that you're doing it, or don't care. You said that you were no longer the guy who walks into threads where people have broken figures and says "hey, it can't be that bad", while doing exactly that with Jabber. (And having the lack of self-awareness to do it in a thread about an even more broken figure.)

You are allowed to like whatever you like. You can be a fan of whatever you want. What I take issue with is this fanboy mentality, where you feel the need to defend a figure by ignoring other people's very serious issues with it. Which, OK fine, if that's who you are, then I can safely ignore you. But that mentality in general does not help anyone. It does not help during new figure releases when people are trying to hash out QC issues, and it definitely does not help when talking about old figures that have serious issues, which maybe people aren't aware of because it's an older figure.

That's all I have to say about that.

One of the things that people don't like to admit about 3rd parties: they're only as good as the last figure they've produced.

Or put another way: making a bunch of good figures doesn't guarantee that the next one won't be bad. The reverse is true as well. Every single company has at least one or two duds.

It's why having a board like this and YouTube reviews are so important: it's the only real way to get a sense for if a good figure is good or bad. It's the only way to tell if its issues are minor or serious. And often, it's the only way to fix or workaround those issues if the company in question has poor support.

The Arturo guy on FB posting that this it the XTB/KFC factory. There's a box on the lower left with the KFC logo and I guess Citizen stack parts in the boxes. Interesting to see.

Just from the Citizen Stack parts being seen, I have a feeling that this could be from a couple years ago. Maybe, maybe not. But when was the last time Stack was around in stock?

Oh I'm sure it's pretty old, I think he came out last before the official MP Magnus released and killed any interest in it. I'm sure it's completely out of date, just interesting to me to see anything behind the scenes

Oh yeah, no doubt. For a sec I partly assumed Arturo JUST posted that, likely without any context.

(Probably one of the only things he positively contributed aside from giving us one hell of a story about some Facebook drama with some 3P Legends figures  )

Belittling? Oh for fuck's sakes, grow up. You're an adult, are you not? No, I don't care about you and your feelings, because you're literally putting words in my mouth at this point, taking what I said and making up your own narrative for it, after I just explained to you why you were wrong about what I said. I considered rewriting my entire last post to be nicer because I thought I was too harsh and angry, and I probably was, but it's clear that you don't want to even take the time of day to understand my point of view.
I'm the antithesis of a fanboy and I fucking loathe being called one. I've said time and again that I'm one of the biggest critics of FansToys, and arguably one of the biggest critics in general because I"m critical of everything, especially the things I love. I've explained my position God-only-knows how many times. Yet, you still have the nerve to tell me what I was doing, and that I lack self-awareness or don't care, even though neither is true.

Don't bother replying to me again. Block me if you want. I don't care. This is one of the most pathetic responses I've seen on TFW in over a decade of being on these boards, and I've been official Masterpiece threads and the bloody HasLab Unicron thread. For your own sake, learn not to make assumptions that take someone's entire argument out of context, especially the part where you double down after having it explained to you in full.
