Yeah, they’ve been open a few months I think. I went in sometime last month and the staff sucked. Prices seem fair though, for the most part. Only a few things overpriced.
The staff seemed nice enough, but probably not familiar with most of their stock, considering how many transformers were mistransformed.
Welcome to the new guys. It's nice to read new posts. I need to start hunting for SS '86. Also looking for G.I. Joe Retro Walmart exclusives and Classified if anyone happens to see them. I was able to get a A.W.E. Striker for $17 from Eubank Walmart. I have a plan to repaint him as Beachcomber for a crossover. I know, Beachcomber is too much of a hippie to be active with G.I. Joe, but it fits the mold so well.
Beachcomber could be a gi joe captive, like he was sent to try and make peace with the agency by the autobots, but they took control of him and are using him as a test subject to try and build their own transformers (like the ones becoming s7 buggies)
These figures at uptown target right now. Also cyberverse starscream and sound wave. I haven't seen new figures in so long, I grabbed the Rattrap before realizing I didn't want him.
Paint that rattrap up to be more show styled or an arcee mouse and I'd be interested, surely could sell it on ebay too.
I understand that. I am trying to stay strong and hold out for the Netflix version, hoping the rumors of the better paint job are true, and also that it is Rattrap, and not the aledged Packrat. But man I need that Cyclonus. Maybe I can catch one this weekend. LoL...You're not helping me here Lumpy. I did manage to pick up a Hot Rod and Scourge from Coors Target the other day. Just wow on these.
Yeah, it's also why I'm tempted to buy Optimus, Megatron and other G1 characters in that price point... but I shall resist... for now.
I'm sure Rattrap is a good figure, I just don't like that character. Happy with my primal and cyberverse prowl. Core prime looks good next to titans, but I can't say I really like it.
I just opened him tonight. He’s decent. Not sure I like him more than the last deluxe, his legs are a little over complicated, but he’s still fun. Looks way more G1 than the other attempts.
They went too fast. Nothing left but the Blackarachnia when I got there. Oh well, I'll get them when its my time. But please keep posting new finds !
Stopped over at Coors Walmart off of I-40 on my way home from work last night. They had a full stocking of SS86 Deluxe, and I picked up Blurr, Kup, and Jazz. Still plenty left. They are just beautiful. There was also at least a case and a half of Kingdom Deluxe, I saw at least 1 Warpath, nothing else really noteworthy, still had a bunch of Netflix wave 2 Deluxe class too, which I thought was interesting, but no Bumblebee's. If anybody is looking for these check out the store, you may be able to snag some. Still looking for Cyclonus and Primal if anyone sees them.
