I dont remember if I did anything terrible to my toys but I did put a cybertron hot shot into chlorinated water as a kid. He lost all of his paint on the autobot insignias afterwards and a couple of his joints locked up like the neck.

I didnt do this to mine but somebody's kid that I knew stepped on my cybertron optimus prime and snapped one of the clear sirens on his shoulder, that really pissed me off at the time.

RID2000 Spychanger Sideswipe, noticed one day that some of the green paint on his hood had chipped off. Decided hey he'd look pretty cool as an all black card and immediately proceeded to scrape the paint away with a.........pocket knife. Stopped after I noticed the scraped black plastic on the hood. It's not a huge patch but now he's got battle damage. Fast forward 20 years and I still haven't gotten around to getting a replacement.

To my KO Evasion Mode Optimus Prime:
    • Ripped his arm off
    • Took my knife to cover him in scratches
    • Chucked him a cinder block
    • Covered him in a coating of sub-zero freeze spray
    • Setting him on fire
    • Using my hot gun to melt his leg
    • Scratched off the diecast paint
    • Used my Sodering Iron to burn holes in him
    • Sent him to the dump

Well, throughout middle school and early high school I 'customized' pretty much every single Transformer I owned with masking tape and Sharpies. Some of the figures I only used Sharpies on are still semi salvageable, but what I didn't realize at the time was that masking tape degrades badly as it ages, and if not removed in time will leave items irreparably coated with an incredibly sticky goo that's nearly impossible to remove even from your hands if you're unlucky enough to touch any, let alone from plastic. I ruined probably close to if not more than a hundred TFs that way, mostly Cybertron, 07 movie, and Animated figures and a couple Classics, as well as over half of my Bionicle collection, a not-insignificant portion of my Legos, and a couple Star Wars toys. When I first started doing it my parents weren't sure whether they should let me do it or not but they figured it was my stuff so they shouldn't stop me. Now I kinda wish they had haha.

My first Transformer was Cliffjumper, purchased before the cartoon had debuted in 1984. He was yellow, and I was perfectly happy with him until I watched the cartoon and realized the character was red (the packaging art should have been my first clue). I bought some Testors red enamel and painted him up, complete with unsightly brushstrokes that an 11-year-old just couldn't hide. I still have him, but really wish I'd left him yellow, just for the novelty.

Transform them WAY too much... That's all, nothing special. Wait! I accidentally sat on Dirge and cracked the cockpit canopy. That was a dark day in my childhood...

Growing up, Transformers were hard to come by, so besides transforming the heck out of them, I took pretty good care of my collection. If I broke one or was irresponsible and set it on fire or tied a string of firecrackers to it, I knew for a fact that I wasn't getting another from my parents.

Has a accessory/ parts being lost or minor breakage ruined a figure for you for either a short amount of time or permanently ruined my ruined figures are:
Er scorponok: lost one of his canons but not completely ruined seeing as i ordered the upgrade kit.
Siege starscream: bottom wing piece broke off didn’t bother to touch the figure for a while
Siege Megatron: sword broke threw the whole figure away and bought a new one
Titans return Optimus: lost the head now I completely ignore it
Combiner wars deadend: had two left hands and windshield broke off
Siege skytread: cockpit broke off replaced the figure
Siege barricade: shoulder piece broke off replaced the figure.
As you can see i am a careless person.

I always keep my broken figures and parts. Perfect to represent battle damaged versions in scenes.

Both Prowl and Barricade from the recent Amazon exclusive two packs have the same issue: the tab in their side doesn’t line up up with the slot in their inner shoulder. Even though these tabs generally don’t stay secure on any of the new Datsuns it still drives me crazy.

About a year ago, my Cybertron Galvatron fell off the top of the shelf one day. Look up "HE FELL OFF THE ****ING BUILDING" (the Minecraft one) on YouTube and that's basically my reaction (warning make sure your volume is low). The fall resulted in plastic part that disk hinge to the armature that holds the car kibble snapped in half on the left side. super glue doesn't seem to work on that plastic so I haven't been able to fix it. Since the kibble chunks served as counter balances for one another he can no longer stand without being in an awkward pose. He sits in car mode in the basement until i find a way to fix him.

I have a Chug Drift packed away so I can’t remember for sure but he either has two right or two left hands which is super depressing considering what he goes for.

That may mean the chest is not properly aligned. Regardless, the tabs aren't thick enough and won't keep the shoulders in place when extending the arms.

The ball joint waist on my copy of Mach Kick won't hold together any more, so unless I want to create a Beast Wars version of the ending of the '07 Bay movie, he's useless.
