I don`t think the other two dinos are necessary. It`s not like their personalities are unique or important to the dinobots. About Blackaracnia she was one of the most interesting things in the Beast wars. She is also a way to bring all the transformers worlds together in a new way. And the spider shape well it`s in her name but a third mode could be cool. Other than the design we have seen several transforming spiders so something new might be nice.

Because she was an autobot with a vehicle mode, and was abandon by her crew on a planet with big nasty spider-like creatures which did horrible things to her. And either for survival or a side effect of the exposure, she now has a beast mode which is not common for cybertronains.

She joins the Decepticons to get her revenge on whoever did this to her.

What is so wrong with that story? Animated is made to take existing concepts and re-tell them. BA with a new origin is no different than Grimlock with a new origin.

I think it would be awesome to have all five Dinobots.
They don't have to have the same names, just be a stegosaurus and apatosaurus (why aren't they called "brontosaurus" anymore?).

The episode Blast from the Past has several parallels to the G1 Dinobots introduction to the series.

Among them are the fact that there are initially only three, and Prime actually supports the Dinobots' deactivation.

Megatron did state that he planned to create an army of dinosaurs, maybe we'll see him try to create a couple more in the future.

Pretty big maybe, though.

 

Because there's no such thing as a "Brontosaurus." Prior samples were incomplete, and in order to be finished, were fitted with the skull of a Camarosaurus.

 

I would like to see Snarl and Sludge make an appearance. In the cartoon they all had similar personalities, but there were differences. If they could be played up and fleshed out, I think the five of them would be great. They could be like the Insecticons were to the Decepticons in G1 - loosely affiliated.

I'll even take a remold/repaint of Predaking before "The Beast."

 

You're going to get real far in life with an "anything that isn't my opinion is stupid" mentality...

The jist of the show is variety. This show would not be half as interesting if every character was a vehicle.

Think of it like this - how boring would McDonalds be if the only meal you could order was a Ham Sandwich? That's kind of silly i know, but diversity is what makes things successful and draws in a wider audience. CN and Hasbro realize that there are people out there who might like Beasts, Bugs, Jets, Tanks, and Cars and are likely trying to diversify this series to offer variety across a toyline/cartoon, not pin themselves down... A "little bit of everything" makes better business sense than "a lot of one thing"

 

I wouldn't mind more dinos...

How about Black Arachnia kidnaps Sari and uses the power of the allsark to try to cure her but instead her transmetal beast mode turns 5 animals into decepticons? Animated Predacons!!!

Then they need two more dinobots to even the score!

The point is there is so much potential and they can stuff new characters in at any time with very little effort.

well if the three bots, sell well, i can see them making them as toys, but i can't see them adding them until at least season 3 lol into the series which is what, 2009? lol? IF there is a season 3.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing Snarl and Sludge show up in Animated eventually. Snarl is my second favorite Dinobot right after Grimlock so it would be cool to see him in there. Although, I definitely don't want to see them combine. The Dinobots were never combiners and I don't feel that they should start now. But, that's just me.

As far as Blackarachnia is concerned, I like her new backstory. It makes a lot of sense and is far better than what little origin she had in BW.

I agree. Hasbro did say that if they were to make any more "Classics" Dinobots, that they would be the 2 not in Animated. Sure, we wouldn't be getting a set of all 5 that matched up, but we would at least get 3 in each style (Grimlock in both).

 

I agree with you that it threw me for a loop that blach arachnia is in a "beast mode". It would have made sense along with this mostly "vehicular" mode cast that she be a fighter plane or a motorcycle that Hasbro is so found of making female transformers out of.

But if it's to tie into BW continuity, I can kinda live with that.

I think its bad taste that everyone wants to throw snide comments for your opinion too, but you handled yourself pretty well.

 

Dude, last time i checked, calling something stupid is 'making fun'. Your incessant desire to call certain things in the show 'stupid' is what i was commenting on. I never stated/implied that you were making fun of any other opinions of the posters. You seem to think a lot of things are stupid about the cartoon because it's not how you would do it.... Hence my comment towards your mentality "anything that isn't my opinion is stupid".

I understand that you are just stating your opinion, but it seems rather juvenile, unconstructive, and serves no other possible purpose than you had a "brain fart", with nothing to back it up. You never state any factual information of any relevance to acknowledge how certain things in the story were intentionally made a certain way for legitimate reasons.... Instead you only offer that you would like it to be another way. And then you substantiate this uninspired diatribe only with the claim that the way it is, is "stupid"

I would love two get 2 more dinos, but I don't care if they are in the show or not, just so long as Hasbro gives us the molds for them.

 

now here's a thought, what if they are new dinobots? do they have to be the same dinos? or can they be other dinos?

i wouldn't mind seeing something different come out of the "other" dinobots, stags and long necks are cool... but there are far far more dinos out there then those.
