Curiouser and curiouser.... There are definitely seams there, but those pieces are either glued down or I don't possess the fingernail strength to pry them away. I might try with a spludger or something like that and see if there's some give.

 

I got my copy last week and I think is being glued down.

 

Maybe it was a feature they abandoned for some reason? Definitely wasn’t one I considered important. But I look forward to getting mine to see if it’s the same. Heck I just want it get here to complete my main headmasters.

Well... The chest piece is lightly glued on. Mine is no longer glued on.

 

Weird. I wonder why they scrapped the gimmick. Not that I understood it in the first place..

 

Because it's dumb and no one wants rectangular nipples.

 

Like @Autobrat Leader said, the pieces are glued on but come off easy enough.

the face on skull cruncher looks nice and sharp.

 

It's honestly the first thing I noticed about him. The metallics are really nice and crisp. It might be his best feature.

 

Fun little comparison to the G1 Headmaster. I do not have G1 Skullcruncher's body - I traded a color-changing Hot Wheel for the head with some kid in elementary school 30 years ago. Not sure who made out on that deal.

 

That Hot Wheels car is now worth $20K..
