Onthographic view (正投影ビュー in Japanese) makes it appear like that. There’s no major change in proportion at all. It makes everything flat so there’s no real perspective.

Yeah, and note the foot of the new bot mode pic. Bottom looks completely flat meaning there’s no perspective I think. When there’s perspective, either upper side will be more visible or lower side will be more visible and in this case, neither so I think it’s in orthographic view ( I learnt this word in English after someone in this thread told me   )

 

The right one is like looking from a bit higher point of view than the left one. Just a little that doesn't bend the view to much, but you can see more details from the top.
The foot was angled down in the old prototype, I believe it's just a reference for adjusting the main structure. It also appeared in the very early render.

 

Oh yeah, the one on the right is in ortographic view, while the left one is in perspective view that's why it's difficult to line the figure.

Impeccable. The only thing I could possibly ask out of this is for a metallic paintjob. Please please please. Maybe even the red doesn't need to be metallic, but for god's sake, please make the blue metallic.

Me too, actually I like Orion’s metallic blue. Maybe a bit of chrome for smoke stacks and grills will be nice too.


Also wtf there was a Magnitude 7.1 earthquake just minutes ago. Seismic intensity was upper 4 in my place but upper 6 in others.

And yeah Orion has nice blues and reds. I hope the flames come out really nice too! Western Star OP actually has a really complex and layered flame pattern, with drop shadows and dimension. I assume really hard to pull off on toy decals.

Also yeah, the flames are quite complex on Knight Prime. More I look, more layers and details I find.
