Note: I posted this yesterday in the Earthrise Thread where I usually put these, but much of it features Siege figures, so I thought I'd post it here as well. Plus, it's got Shockwave in it, and you can never have too much Shockwave, right?

Nintendo systems from the DS family make great computers. I did the same for Marooned.

 

Marooned is actually where I got the idea! (For those who haven't checked it out, I recommend it) I also have an old flip top Game Boy Advance that I want to retrieve for the same purpose. It doesn't work anymore so I can't have anything on screen unless I edit it in, but I think it will make a nice prop nonetheless.

I've of two minds about having the screen on. One on hand, it looks cool in and of itself, but on the other hand it sometimes throws off the lighting in the photos more than I thought it would.

 

That was a problem for me when shooting. Hence why it was always off.

 

You know how Mini-Con hardpoints are 5mm?




Just think of the possibilities.

 

Ultra Magnus siege is one of the siege toys I regret getting rid of since the kingdom one is the same except

1) He’s now short two accessories.

2) He now has an uglier alt mode.

3) Now I have to work with his lock waist to give him a waist swivel!

 

Oh right! I should consider getting Brunt some day to use the guy on Sharkticon.

 

Warpath: Come on, Ironhide. Shoot some fireworks!

 

I just remove his butt kibble. Makes for a much cleaner 'bot mode. Hope Kingdom UM can do this as well. I'll only be getting him if he's super cheap anyway.

 

Cool   I'll have to keep that in mind for if/when I get round to doing my own photo comic, I've had a few ideas and I do enjoy posing and photographing my TFs and other figures  
I'm toying with the name 'Less Than Prime'  
I had several incarnations of the DS over it's lifespan, I still have them all in fact. Off the top of my head I had the original DS, skipped the Lite as I had no use for the social functions, the 3DS, the New3DS, and New3DSXL as at the time I found the New3DS was cramping my hands up so the larger XL was more suited. IIRC it was the Zelda version they did for Majora's Mask 3D (I think) I've also got a Yellow Gameboy Colour somewhere with Pikachu stickers on it. And a Gameboy Advance! I always liked the shape of the GBA ^^

I'll add Marooned to my bookmarks of TF comics to read sometime  

For screen light, you might be able to tweak the backlight strength? I forget if the DS had that as an option... though of course, real monitors would emit some light but I can see how it might be an issue.

Oooh cool, who's the lorge jet boi? He looks badass!

Pretty cool toy. Could even combine with that series' version of Optimus Prime to make Sonic Wing.
