Still no shipping notice from Show-Z but admittedly I was pretty late in order (just a couple of days ago). Still I was pulled in by the popup on the home page which said "if you want something before CNY, just order now" - LOL so I did. So because of that, now I do in fact want it before CNY. Hopefully they can get them all out.

 

It seems random at this point.
I preordered mine the day she went up and paid as soon as her full price was posted.
I'm still hopeful she'll ship tomorrow.

 

A bit late to the discussion, but I actually went out of the way to buy the RID off of eBay to see what the fuss is about.



Amazing how two almost identical bike modes can yield so different bot modes. Each of them have their pros and cons and neither is more accurate than the other. But seriously though, I still prefer the FE despite the inaccurate wings and sculpt due to the lack of a backpack, better proportions and more involved transformation. Honestly, I think the best Arcee figure would he a mix of these two figures. Take the FE's chest and engineering and combine it with the RID's transformation scheme and details and viola!

 

Whoa. I didn't realize the RID one had so much shit in the back. Don't feel so bad about not getting it now.

 

If you're referring to my post, please re-read it as nobody is asking for mp level details at a $25 price point.

I think APCs goal is to make money. Not to provide a service to collectors. The figures are not free and I am pretty sure the margins they are making are extremely healthy. I was looking at those WJ KO OS Titans Returns Headmasters that are available for $15 shipped. Those are also straight OS KOs, have Diecast and they are dirt cheap.

I'm not at all against any company making a profit, and I love TF Prime (the show and figures), I just feel that Arcee seems overpriced in comparison to Optimus or Megatron. Does that make me shameful and disgusting? Lol. Sure why not.

Does anyone recall how much FE Optimus cost vs. FE Arcee? Just wondering what the price differential was on the original releases.

I think 2012 deluxes were $12 and voyagers were $20, but I could be off a little.

 

On the FE version, you are rotate the wheel at the back so that it can have a flatter backpack

 

You can actually rotate the wheel on both. However, the wheel isn't flat up against her back in the show, so I leave it unrotated.

 

If not mistaken, APC make some slight adjustment on it and it can sit more flush. Waiting for mine to confirm

 

Per TFW2005 database, Deluxes were 12.99 and Voyagers 22.99. But they were incredibly hard to find - I was only lucky enough to get the Deluxes from another member at retail, and later I got Prime and Bulkhead for about $50 each. Never saw ANY of them at Toys R Us, where they were exclusives here in the US.

 

I got all my FE deluxes when they were rereleased at TRU, but I never saw the voyagers there. The RID stuff I luckily got most of the ones that went way up on the aftermarket, then only recently got the rest. $50 is very fair for Prime and Bulkhead. I think I might have gotten them for $50. The most expensive one by far was FE Cliffjumper. They only released the Terrorcon version at TRU, so I had to shell out significantly for an original. It would be kinda cool to get an APC Cliff next.

Mine showed up today. She is pretty good. Backpack is more streamlined and the shoulders are better. Paint is beautiful. I am not bothered by the accessories.

 

I will say her bicep swivels is pretty tight, all other joints are good

 

I'm definitely tempted to buy one of these. I never got to own the FE mold but judging from the pics from @Actar with Transmutate, I can squeeze another Arcee into my collection.

Is it wrong I hope they do repaints into Flamewar, Flareup and Transmutate as well?

Mine hit Chicago yesterday, so yay....she's in the U.S!

 

If they get enough interest i think they will. Gotta milk the mold. It's why i think they are not rushing on Bulkhead, there is no repaint options.
