I have no experience making molds, but I wonder if one could take out the piece, make a copy of it, custom paint the copy and install that in its place.

I agree with all of these, this option would’ve been just fine with me! One paint app is all it would’ve taken. So disappointing...

 

I hope Hasbro commemorates this whole era by introducing a new faction of Unicron heralds called "The Blue Maw."

 

I foresee a Lucas film style 40th anniversary edit/release to Transformers The Movie, where the maw is blue. LOL

The blue maw doesn't really bother me. The unpainted lower teeth definitely do bother me, and while that is a pretty easy fix with a silver paint pen, I feel like making any sort of modification, no matter how small, to an expensive limited piece like this is a dicey prospect.

 

Same. I've said it before but I'll say it again because I want the idea to spread to someone who can actually make it happen: I think a third party could make a thin, plastic, fully removable cap piece to fill in between the teeth. I'd much prefer that to stickers which is the only other alternative for me.

 

If I may, for those who end up using the paint route, and assuming you find good success, would it be reasonable to ask to share the exact brand/color that you're using? I imagine that color match is going to be an issue for many, and getting clear instructions will be important to the less experienced.

Yes, that is a valid concern most here likely have. Any unofficial "fixes" detract from a figure's perceived collectability, no mater how good it looks.

I think this is why the push to have HasTak "make things right" got started. Its not a hard fix from what we can see, but its going to cost someone somehow (HasTak $$, Fan $$, brand loyalty).

It doesnt bother me. If it was baby blue or sky blue , maybe not pearl blue, Yes I would be grumpy about it. But I'd live.

They mean they are not bothered or annoyed by the blue mouth in planet mode but empathizes with the people are.
