Netflix Cartoon was watchable. Not great, not god-awful.

I loved Beast Wars. One of the first TF shows I watched.

Just really do NOT like this Cheetor mold. Not sure why, just dont. But love the super off colors of the sparkless/quint slave.

 

Well in that case it's not weird. I for one appreciate your differing thoughts and I like your assessment of the cartoon, though I liked it less than watchable. The plot itself and so on was okish and on the watchable side, but the voice acting dragged it down a notch further for me..

I'm also not a big fan of the Cheetor mold. Others like that he's more streamlined, but I grew up with the kibble design and really miss it here. I will get the Netflix version to complete the cast and customize his backpack to flare our further backwards if possible aside from adding all the paint apps he's missing

 

Yeah, the voice acting is absolutely the worst part of the WFC trilogy. Its terrible.

 

Excited for and annoyed with the prospects of the Netflix Boss monkey.

 

That's one I want to see but Kingdom Primal looks so good I've been really tempted to say "eff it" and buy it. However I don't want to have another Netflix Megatron situation where I couldn't resist. To this day my gf teases me how I bought the same shit and they swindled me.  

Anyway, I think I decided I'm gonna get Netflix Cheetor and try for the first time to paint a figure. Can the paint on those gundam markers be removed easily if I botch it?

 

Now i'm curious how these Voyager Multi-packs will be handled now. I guess they have to redeco the Core class figures.

 

I recommend testing / training on plastic figures / objects you don't care about and using acrylic paint. It's more beginner friendly. Can be removed more easily than oil based colours (email). When the paint is dried acrylic needs to be sealed though. I use acrylic floor varnish for that purpose. My results are pretty much as robust as tampoed paint apps

One is rumoured to come with Rattrap with darker fur, fur coloured "brain" and unpainted teeth

 

We haven't even seen Kingdom show yet, so technically you can't say it's 'not' accurate but I think these also might be a nod to the original line. Hence the eye colors changes seemvto match 1996.

 

Don't feel bad they swindled the heck out of me with prime and just like they will swindle the heck out of me with some of the beast wars guys. Cheetor like good but thankfully not irresistible. Primal though they will get me especially if he has red ball joints at the hips. That subtle difference is enough. I'm such a frigging mark.

 

No, sorry. Cheetahs are the color of dead grass. You can’t be stealthy if you have metallic sheen. I’m not supporting the original color, just don’t call this natural cheetah color.

 

Wow new cheetor looks way better! I don’t miss the blue on the legs that much.

Yh, you keep laughing. It is more natural looking than the original. You'll see. I trust the word of those who has him in hand, than 3 bad photos and a few people who think dry grass doesn't reflect enough light. Remember the original used very shiny plastic too. It just didn't come across that much, cos the yellow is so bright

Interesting. I love the new colour choices. I always wanted him to have more of that helmet blue. I think Kingdom looks better than the original. The angular knee pads were also a better choice than those weird circular things

Remember though, if they wanna make the hip balls red they need to distribute more of that red plastic elsewhere. How do you think they could manage that? They could make the pistons red and the upper arms. But then they'd have to apply a lot of Paint to the upper arms. There will always be compromises. When the hips are right something else will look off

My money is on a toy accurate Primal repaint with that dark furred Rattrap.
It wouldn't look as stupid as the MP of course. They'd be using deep black for the gorilla and red plastic for the all the blue parts. Which means red feet with white paint

 

They did get a lot right ✅, I'm just nitpicking. Honestly I'm starting to like it more than the MP I have on my shelf. The gorilla mode is amazing to me. Especially in its four legged stance.

 

I'm not sure. I feel like that gundam paint is relatively easy to work with but I have zero experience with it.

 

i always feels that the current kingdom cheetor\'s color looks weird....especially the baby blue parts.... now we have a better definitive color accurate cheetor...hooray

 

Okay, I'm starting to get used to the lack of color on the shins and now I want Netflix Cheetor. Guess I'd better prepare my wallet. How does one go about getting on of these Netflix figures anyway? Never bothered before.

I don't think Reprolabels has ever made stickers for a beast era figure, unless you count the maximal and predacon insignias they have.

 

Wave 1 figures almost always end up easy to find mid-year. It makes perfect sense to wait on NF Primal and Cheetor. If you can't get the Netflix, the mainline ones should be easy to obtain.

 

They're walmart exclusives in the USA, other regions they seem to be a non exclusive release so it mostly depends on where you live
