From what's been discussed in the transcraft threads, they are the same company.

 

My guess is this was their first chance to break away from what was holding them back as DX9/UT and now they're showing off under the new name. I'm glad they haven't disappeared. Shame they got screwed by the powers that be and had to (pardon the pun) transform into something else.

Makes me wonder if the factory will start reissuing older UT stuff like Mania King and the like since they can do that...

 

Mania King seems quite unlikely due to the Kingdom one coming out in a few months. That’s said, I’d bet more on a Peru Kill rerelease since he seems to be the more sought after if their recent figures.

 

Aha! I was right about UT designing it then, I recognised their style the first time I saw it and mentioned that I thought they were involved on the first review I saw (PvP or Ben's KO's) under my google/usual day to day name Biker Alex. I'm chuffed they're still around and as a product designer rather glad I got it right too! LOL.

 

Has it been confirmed that TransCraft is UT, or are people assuming it's UT because of their similarities? Is there something specific we can point to and say "There, here is the proof"?

Yeah, according to a couple of Chinese reviewers who personally know the designer, it’s the same designer behind the UT knight Op and Megatron.

That's very interesting! This guy must be in high demand to be moving around to different companies. Or UT was just getting to be too high-profile for him (where the hell is Galvatron???).

 

We need an update on this.

It's said that Galvatron might be put on sale in March or April.

And does that mean the figure will get a release not dictated by the # of preorders? I heard that was the route they were gonna take a while back. Pretty much a made to order type of thing.

 

There was this general agent of UT and DX9 said that yesterday.

 

Well something is better than nothing I suppose.

 

Let’s hope it’s true then. I’ll put in a preorder in a few weeks.
