Finding a pristine vintage genuine Reflector or a wife that supports your hobby to that extent? Both seem like rarities.

@The Chippy Winger great job lucking out on both counts. As a toy I'm not keen on Reflector, but having it is great.

absolutely I tickled when I opened it. After staring at it for a while I did begin to wonder if it was a KO, cause yeah. What are the chances? I’ve researched the crap outta this thing. Lo and behold it’s the real deal. She found it at vintage toy store just sitting there. Unreal. The owner told her that if hubby is a TF collector he’ll poop himself..

And sometimes you just get lucky... I picked up this gorgeous sealed Nightbeat on eBay for less than 100 bones a few years back. I don’t think the seller knew what he had. I took a chance and he showed up!

This rare G1 Autobot combiner doesn't see the light of day very often.... oh lets say taken out from it's deep storage slumber once in a blue moon.  

 

Brilliant catch, my vintage is yellowed, missing one head gun and box badly damaged (I was told to dispose of it after cutting out the tech spec, but I somehow decided I would stop throwing away the things I liked so much so rescued this one).

Amazing, never seen it so up close before or researched it. The new names of the individual bots are interesting.

 

Interesting that they swap Streetwise and First Aid in the combiner configuration on the box art.

 

This is how I would always put Defensor together when I had him as a kid. Just like the picture on the back of the box shown above.

With all the recent talk about supportive wives, I had to share this. My wife got this for me years ago, I think for my birthday. It was still sealed, and yes I opened it and applied the stickers  
The box is absolutely minty fresh.

 
Is there a toy in those pictures? All I see is a pile of gold.

I’m still trying to obtain my holy grail, a complete Battle Gaia, but I’d prefer to keep all my internal organs.

There was a nice quality Battle Gaia KO on eBay a few months ago. The box even looked very close to the original Takara box. If that doesn’t bother you, maybe look at one of those as an option? It is a really kick ass set.
