Its already has stand base that included in the files package. Infill: 25% or 100% for parts that gets high tension like shoulders parts. wall/top/bottom: 0.8mm. This model is support free and has oriented properly to get maximum smoothness and strength. Maybe you should recalibrate your printer to get maximum accuracy

This is a masterpiece! Very excellently engineered. It's a pity that the head ends up completely stashed away, but overall it's an amazing design!

This is truly amazing. What did you study to learn how to do this? Are you a wizard?

Really great design but I'm wary of having to tighten screws with pliers on every joint every time I need to move one.

Do you think that if those screws were printed in flexible rubber material they could remain tight and provide enough friction? Or maybe small springs with rubbery pads under each screw to provide constant (but adjustable) friction?

Also, how far down do you think it could be scaled and still work? It's BIG - I'd like to make it as small as possible but still function.

You don't have to tighten the screw for every move. It is only to add more strength to the joint because the 3dprinted material is very easy to become loose. I've designed a tool to it, I'm just too lazy to print it.

But do you think if the screws were rubber or had springs they could go with only occasional adjustment? And how far down can it be scaled?

I newer use rubber, so I can't promise you with the result. I also don't recommend to downsize it because it would reduce the strength of the parts

    I LOVE IT!

Also, you could totally repaint this and get an awesome Metal Siren custom from Macross 2.
