Yup, spotted the KO Onslaughts which I have both CBB KOs of already but also dropped an order on these two. Interesting to see Onslaught in Hotspot's colour. Spotted the lack of combiner pots of the shoulders but hoping some parts can be swapped for shits and giggles.
I'm surprised the CBB KO folk never pumped out just a few more skittle coloured variants whilst they had the chance/moulds. Just some standard all white or all black variants would have been lovely to see! :D

I hear that. I'm struggling to get through my MP Roadbuster custom atm, with a 3-drawer bin full of future custom projects waiting in the wings. Not to mention a stack of G1 Toyhax decals purchased with the intent of (someday) cleaning and restoring my remaining G1 collection.

As mentioned, these simplifications look to be the quality of shampoo bottles with loads of the engineering stripped away. Did you see the combined mode of these on the Sir Toys link I added? :D
Hollow, fused arms and legs, thin bottle plastic and a barely there combined mode. Worth every penny? Erm...? ;)

    Edit:
No you where correct, it is sham-poo!

Oh, I wasn't arguing that they were worth a large sum of money. My point was more that shipping from China isn't as cheap as it used to be (nor easy) so even for ultra-cheap KOs the prices have risen for most sellers. Bottom line: Covid Life sucks.

And now... we officially enter the Dark period.... that time each year where its suppose to last a single week but often goes to a month long of Drought as China closes down for their New Year Celebration... no packages... no news, nothing for the coming few weeks...

Luckily, Paul usually has TONS of goodies for his store whenever he comes back and I hold on to that thought knowing I cant order anything from china for the coming weeks lol :D

    Happy Chinese New Year y'all!

Hi hi, just thought this may be the best place to ask a very newbie question. It just occurred to me to ask this after trying to buy a FT Quietus-T. It seems that even on Taobao (usually the cheapest place to get 3rd party Masterpeice in China) the price is over 300 dollars... Im just wondering why no one has bothered to KO Fanstoys? Is there a reason or am I just not using the right search terms?

And yes Happy Chinese New Year! :)

    Thanks!

Slow day at work today (remote as well) so time for some crappy pics. OS Siege Prime by BPF. I think this scale does a good job in conjuction with the target masters and the Wu Sword (bought it for MP Delta Magnus originally) fits him...Now I yesterday learned of the BTS trailer and I cant find anywhere one for this guy :(  IMG_20210209_085126.jpg IMG_20210209_085005.jpg IMG_20210209_084942.jpg

Welcome! It appears that 3p rarely gets KOed. The reasons are only guess work really, seems that DX9 was a prime target for KOing, while most other companies have been exempt for some reason. At any rate you will be hardly pressed to find 3p KOs, exceptions do occur from time to time. As for Quietus, its pricing is a combination of not been available any more since most FT products sell out at a breaths notice, with FTs decision/been forced due to the situation (your pick) to reduce production to manufacture enough pieces for preorders only. Its a bit of a bummer really...

Thanks pilot00, its really strange eh? Because the moment Takara makes a new MP, the preorders for KOs start in haste haha! Thanks for the reply, I'll keep my finger on the 'Buy' trigger next time I see a FT product I like.

Cheers and have a great day :)

We don't really know for sure why - I have two guesses.
    1. many of the main KO companies may actually work closely with many of the big 3rd Party producers, and so there may be more of an "understanding"
    2. (and more likely) 3rd Party companies are much smaller and have tighter control over their content, as opposed to a large corporate entity like Hasbro. It's possible that it's easier for KO producers to source the CAD files for Hasbro/Takara items, and there's probably a bigger market for KOs of official items. There's probably just more leaked files and more of a black market.

I don't have a pic handy, but the NBK figures are a "beefy" normal voyager size, while the Jinbao Constructicons are almost the size of a Combiner Wars leader class figure (and are generally much heavier). They are BIG.

I'd love to see what KO companies could do with access to some of the 3rd Party designs (oversize versions of many of the legends-scale offerings would be cool).

One of the only 3P designs you see KOs of is the GC Gravity Builder Constructicons. It seems conspicuous to me that there are at least 4 different KO versions of this set. It's possible that GC may have even sold their CAD files themselves on whatever black market exists for this kind of thing.
