I'm still pretty impressed by the voice cast they rounded up for this every time I read about it. Hopefully, the writing and animation also end up just as impressive.
Knowing Kevin Smith... I expect something as bloody and pointless as the Scorpion MK movie we got recently. As you say, writers matter more than voice actors. Cyberverse has mostly unknown voice actors, same goes for Netflix WFC, but one was written and directed well, the other couldn't even remember continuity between 6 episodes...
I don't think Kevin Smith is gonna go that route, but just to play devil's advocate here... You mean this guy? Why would anyone ever think that?
Considering there are MOTU LGBTQ fans petitioning Mattel to include diverse characters, and Netflix She-Ra, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was something in there BUT given that this is a direct continuation of the original story I don’t expect Mattel to be heading in that direction.
Meh. I'll give it a chance but after that absolute trash-tier She-Ra show I'm not exactly optimistic. I know it's not the same people working on it but still.
Sounds awesome. But I hoped they would incorporate the iconic original tunes, since it's a continuation.
I would have had an easier time giving it a listen if it weren't for Kevin's reaction being played over it, but what I heard sounded okay.
My god Smith is annoying. In any event, the theme sounds good, but whoever is voicing, Adam in that brief sound bite we heard at the beginning, sounds bad. I'm still interested in seeing it, but we'll see.
Huh, Mon-El from Supergirl and Kai from Vampire Dairies/Legacies huh? Interesting choice. I've noticed Smith got a lot of TV/Film actors to do voice work for this which is... intriguing to say the least. Hope they all do a good job.
It seems to get a lot of praise across the internet, but I hate it. What good there is, isn’t enough to save it. In terms of animation, it’s passable.
