At the very least, I hope Slugfest/Overkill and Grandslam/Raindance are on Dr Wu's agenda. Slugfest and Overkill both have SG decos, and I'm sure a suitable choice could be made for Grandslam and Raindance (green and orange?). I think it's fair to guess that if/when we get a new Blaster, his tapes will be compatible with WFC Soundwave, so just get a head start and roll through the Autobot tapes that didn't appear in the movie . . .

Tho, I have a rather unlikely desire to see Overkill turn into a cannon and Slugfest into a lance to turn Soundwave or Soundblaster into a combiner that looks a little like Omnimon.  

The Chosen Prime has them all listed for $24.99. I’m tempted to cancel my BBTS preorder for the original and switch to TCP over this up charging, but I’m not sure if TCP is still doing flat $10 shipping on each individual item for orders under $150.

I’m also thinking I might get the original for combined mode and maybe the black to keep separate. Or maybe just have them both combined and hanging out with my Siege Soundblaster.

I’ve had the originals on order since August... Now I just ordered the variants. TCP is my go to store now... free shipping when you build a pile of $150 or more, make payments on your preorders over time, and no sales tax.

And in this case, the variants are the same price as the originals.

 

Man, I can't wait for this set. I fondly remember having G1 Squawktalk and Beastbox as a small child.

What's the quality usually like on tiny Dr. Wu figures? This set looks cool as hell, but I've never handled Dr. Wu stuff and I'm wary of something tiny with lots of little breakable hinges and pegs.

 

I have Scalpel and Mohawk from their Movie series, and two versions of their Galvy & Soundwave/blaster set, and all are extremely solid and high quality IMHO - tiny, but not fragile.

I loved them enough that I have all 3 decos of the cassettebots plus their upcoming Beachcomber/Soundwave and Optimus Prime figures on Pre-Order.

Highly recommended!
