In space, no one can hear you scream. Unless you're a TIE Fighter.

I haven't bought any sets from this series yet, but the Flower Fruit Mountain looks really cool. I showed my daughter and we agreed we could easily shoehorn that in to her Elves world, so it's on the list now.

They are really cool, though I am a little behind on collecting the first wave stuff so I'm slowly trying to catch up. And yeah, I think it would fit remarkably well. I'll be honest, the way these sets are built remind me more of how the Lego Movie sets were.

Well looking at Lego.com, the set is only temporarily out of stock so more may come in. I'm counting on it as I missed it too, haha. I looked up the list of all of them and didn't realize I was missing four sets from last year! I thouhgt I only needed one, haha. Looks like I need to catch up quick!

Yeah, I’ve been wanting the Monkey Mech since they came out but just figure I’ll have a chance to get it later so been holding out. The mountain set looks amazing but don’t know if I can do that one. I want it though.

The Monkey Mech came out in May of last year so I wouldn't wait too long but definitely see if there's a gift with purchase you're interested in. Damn, I love these sets. Really all the Chinese-inspired stuff has been cool as of late.

Yeah, I figure most their sets stay around for a couple years and say “retiring soon” before I need to worry about it. Still, I hear you.

Modded my 2021 Star Wars X-Wing and Tie Fighter (now Interceptor) to be a bit more accurate.

    Spoiled for lots of photos:

For the Interceptor, I extended the wings and made them bigger while improving the shape and angle (additional parts for the interior wing bracing also hold them in place so the ratchets won't move anymore). Also improved the cockpit with snot techniques, redid the rear of the vehicle with the twin ion engines and exhaust port, and gave the pilot a flight yoke. Now the TIE doesn't look so shrimpy next to the X-Wing and is more in scale with each other.

For the X-Wing, I filled in the gaps at the top (and bottom) of the S-foils mechanism, gave it folding landing gear, improved the shaping of the cannon tips and base on the wings. Also extended the gray nose by one stud, added some curved white pieces to the rear side panels, and improved the cockpit by lowering the seat base (Luke doesn't have to lean back anymore) and giving him a control stick and additional console tiles.

Very happy with how they came out!

The Monkey Mech looks really cool, and seems to have some interesting parts to it.
A wee bit better than this KO I snapped a pic of today because you guys were talking about that set:

since Nya is finally getting her due from the rumored Underwater Temple sets i need to pick up the Tuner Car (since she drove it) and get ready to mock build it into something a bit better like i've done with Llyod and Kai's cars, that would leave me 3 more cars to create, Jay, Cole, and Zane

The Samurai X cave is such an awesome set; I was sad to have to disassemble it to make room for other things. Anything that adds to Nya is always a plus.
I'd really like to see a MOC-attempt at filling out the rest of the set with more cave/environmental build-up so that it was even more "Batcave"-esque. I had mine extend out to include the back-half of the DB Xpress (or whatever the Destiny's Bounty vehicle from the Tournament of Elements series was called), and it was pretty nifty.

Wow! These both look great! I'm really interested in how you did the Interceptor mods, did it take a lot of extra pieces that were not in the original build?

So this weekend my wife and I "speed built" the Spring Lantern Festival (we didn't "rush" specifically but we built the whole thing between Saturday and Sunday nights, working together - it's the fastest we've built a nearly 2,000 piece set). What a fantastic build and set, fun to assemble and just beautiful. So many nice details and touches, even my wife was impressed and into it (I'm slowly but surely converting her into an AFOL haha). Really happy to have it in time to add to our New Year collection / display. Going to tackle the Story of Nian in the next day or two to round it all out.

Nice! I just bought that set (well actually, I accidentally bought 2) so good to know it's fun.
