Does his gun actually attach in truck mode? It shows it on top in the instructions, but I'm failing to understand if and how it connects.

 

There are a couple small holes on the inner side of the knee caps that the gun sandwiches into. Once it’s connected it can swing up/down like a turret.

 

I remember looking at those and didn't think the gun would fit in there. I'll have to look again.

 

The very back of the gun has small tabs that lock into the knee pads on the top back of the truck.

 

I see now. The first time I transformed, I flipped down those knee pads and didn't see the peg holes. Thanks!

This thing feels like Master Made snuck into Iron Factory's place one night nine months ago and they made a perfect baby Magnus.

 

Agreed, it also feels like a mini Fans Hobby figure. The robust build and tampos really make it mesh with offerings from those two companies.

Now I want an SD version from Master Made.

Yeah, he's stupid good. Haven't found any flaws with him which is a nice change of pace after Bludgeon.

The thread here has several reports of breakage on the feet and ankles, and recently an instance of breakage on Bludgeon’s helmet’s horns.

 

Is yours missing the missile racks on its right leg or did you take it off?

I did forget; doh!  

 

YMMV… aside from some scary tight tolerances in the joints in the leg for transformation into alt, which has cleared up after working it it in with some lube, mine has been solid so far. the tight tolerances i think was from the applied weathered paint app on the entire figure.  

but yeah, i'd proceed with caution handling the figure first time out of the box until your familiar with it compared to most IF figures. assuming it's not broken out of the box like some have experienced.
