I would love for it to happen, but it's unlikely we'll ever see Animated Season 4 fully realized. They didn't even recognize it for its 10th anniversary in 2017 with a figure or re-release any figures, yet Prime still got some recognition... The only thing we can hope for is the supposed Buzzyworthy Animated Bumblebee to sell beyond Hasbro's expectations and maybe they'll consider throwing Animated fans a bone here or there.

 

Its not going to happen. It's not even fully Hasbro's call - Cartoon Network owns part of the rights which is what led to the creation of the HUB in the first place.

Additionally, there would need to be toyline support and that's just not going to be a realistic expectation.

 

I'm just going to cut to the chase, here.

It will never happen, this is a waste people's energy and time.

Don't do it, it's done. Move on.

 

Um if we are supposed to be petitioning for another season of transformers animated shouldn’t we be starting with getting a season 2 and 3? Or am I missing something?

 

We've had thousands of these. Animated ended in 2009. It's almost time to let it go Pals.

There were three seasons.

Off the top of my head, I can't remember any show revival done years later that's really satisfied me. I think 90% of that is me having built up expectations over all that time, and 10% is the people behind it having changed over time. I'll always love Animated, and it's bittersweet to think about how the show ended before its time and how there were all these plans, but I'm fine with the story ending there, rather than risking a season 4 that doesn't quite live up to the show's reputation.

I just want a show that's fun and does things I haven't seen before. Don't try to copy the past, just look at it to see what ideas worked, and what could be reinterpreted in an interesting way, which is one of the things I liked about Animated.

 

Signed. Though I don't think that a petition is the best option. In my opinion, taking to social media is the best option.

 

This has been tried before I'm pretty sure, and as much as I find all the attempts to revive it admirable I just don't think we'll see any results.

 

Petitions are useless.

 

Sorry bud, but I don't think it's happening. The chances of a previous Transformers series getting a continuation is probably as much as Megas XLR would get. Ok, it might have a bit better chance, but the point is that it's not going to happen. The show ended, for better or for worse, and just because die hard fans want a continuation, doesn't really mean anythings going to happen honestly. Hasbro moved on, plain and simple. Every series runs its course and when that time is over, that's pretty much all she wrote. At best, we might get a reboot or series similar to it, but I highly doubt a true continuation will come.

Deep down, I think we all want our favorite series to continue but every good thing has to come to an end, but hey, at least the ride to it was awesome.

Side note: Damn, really wished they continued Megas XLR.

It's been more than a decade since it went off the air. If a continuation didn't happen by now it's not going to happen. And I don't think a petition is going to change that. When's the last time any of these sorts of fandom petitions actually worked? And I don't mean "but they brought back Chuck because people bought Subway sandwiches, or saved Jericho or whatever show that was with everyone sending bags of nuts to the studio" type stunts. I mean literally just a change.org petition signed by dozens of random people on the internet. I would be surprised if there was an instance of them being successful, and flabbergasted if there was actually more than one.

It's probably time to move on.

It sucks knowing that a show that people liked never got to continue, but such is life. We should celebrate that after 35+ years the franchise is still around at all. Very few fandoms get even that much. Never mind that there's literally over 1,000 episodes of Transformers content out there between the west and Japan. And that's not an exaggeration. That's an actual number based on episode totals of everything between G1 and WFC:Kingdom.

 

Totally missed out on it when I was kid, rewatched it as an adult and my god, it's one of the best shows I have ever seen. So fucking sad they wrote it off as a tax right off and that Steve Blum and all those guys wanted to continue it or recreate so many times.

TF Animated is dead. It's been over 10 years. There are far better shows that they could choose to remake and animu goofbots isn't one of them.
