Yeah unfortunately I'm one of those poor saps that jumped in on the 850 listing, only because I didn't jump on it during the backing though, I figure at least I'm not paying 4 digits for it at...

 

Santa Ana Walmart on McFadden, as of 7:10 am today, has three SS 86 Grimlocks, two Blurrs, and a lone Chromedome in decent shape. I brought one Grimlock down from the riser for easier access for our shorter collectors out there.

Some crazy Walmart employee stood by me as I was holding the Grimlock in my hands, keep pointing to the riser without saying a word. Most likely the one who stocked the aisle and who does not realize it is a Studio Series item and that it should be stocked in it's section. I just ignored her.

 

Chromedome you say.... tempting. My guess on why the lady was pointing to the riser is that there is a sign that says to ask for an employee's help for items up there but I'm more surprised that she cared.

 

She came in the aisle later to scan some items in, most likely a team manager or team leader. There was space on the floor for the SS stuff but I think she got confused because two Overloads were there. Semi different packaging so I can understand the confusion.

As short as that lady was and how lazy workers are at the Santa Ana Walmarts and Targets, I was not even thinking about the use of a ladder and employee help. I would credit her for caring if indeed that was what she was pointing out to me.

 

Wow, just overheard a target stocker explaining how it works to the new guy. Basically freaks like us come out wanting to buy it all instantly. But like someone here said, Target wants these figures on the shelves but they just don't have the inventory. So the guy keeps saying to stock a few of these things and then keep the rest below. Repeated that, keep the rest below. If someone asks for you to check in back, just say it's not in stock. Then he noticed me eavesdropping so very loudly he started saying "AND WE DONT HAVE THEM IN STOCK, WE JUST DONT"

 

Then you find someone that is actually helpful and point them to the Tablet Scanner that says they have them in the back

 

It was just crazy to me that anyone would care that much. He was into it.

 

Retail and dealing with jerks can break a lot of people. Most of us are nice and understanding, but all it takes are enough jerks to ruin it all for everyone. From reading lots of forums it seems that there are more jerks than nice people out there these days.

 

The majority of the legitimate collectors are rather polite and understanding as they appreciate any help they can get with searching for these elusive products. I have seen some totally belligerent folks though, mostly regarding funko pops. Typically though the target employees are usually pretty receptive to anyone that has a shred of consideration.

 

The Walmart on 12th ave in Hanford had nothing aside from a couple core rattraps and vertebreaks, The target next to it had a Kingdom Cyclonus but nothing SS86 related. Hope I can find them eventually

 

I feel terrible about this but I got the last grimlock at Jefferson target

 

You should not feel terrible at all. You get it when you can get it. Grimlock should be coming, full throttle on store shelves fairly soon. It will be interesting with the SS86 deluxes though. I see Blurr everywhere but need Jazz and Kup. I freed my Grimlock from its box but debating on whether I want to do the same with the deluxes. They just look cool to me in their box and I have not "MISB collect" in well over a decade or more. I have an order with Amazon for the three but they just recently split up the order times. I purposely got them altogether so Amazon does not trash the boxes they send to me but I guess that is out the window now.

 

When you order from Amazon, you need to select the item as a Gift. They will never send it without a wrap or other box.
I almost feel entirely confident saying, "never"...almost...

 

Yeah, I had a very similar experience. You win some and you lose some. If you don't get the answer you're looking for, hopefully find another Team Member that will help. Just don't let the first team member see that or they'll really be pissed. LOL All in all, most are willing to help, but there have been a few that just don't give a crap, and will tell you anything to get you off their back. Probably been rubbed the wrong way by the same scalpers coming in every morning to bother them. Like someone was saying, all it takes is one person to ruin it for everybody. It's unfortunate...

 

Just FYI, the case assortment for the SS86 Deluxe is 2 x Kup, 3 x Jazz, and 3 x Blurr, which is why Kup has been pretty hard to find. Most Targets don't seem to be getting more than 1 case at best, and that's just starting to happen now from a 2 week dry spell. Leader Grimlock is 2 to a case, and starting to show up at more places now...Just gotta be diligent at checking, and don't give up when the tough gets going.

 

After a week of delays, my Kup preorder finally arrived from Target . . . except they sent me Jazz by mistake. Anybody near Pasadena wanna trade their Kup for a Jazz?

Still no luck finding Grimlock edit: in good news my G2 Selects Megatron showed up. I have no idea how long I've had Battle Tanker but he finally has someone to square up against

 

I read this too fast as "Still no f------ Grimlock" which yeah, still works. Sorry you're not having any luck finding him yet!

 

Westlake Walgreens had some surprises today. Grabbed the Arcee, left the Smokescreen and the... "Generations Cyber Battalion" Sideswipe (?) behind.
