Just because I don’t like transforming one particular brand of 3rd party doesn’t mean I need to just buy mainline figures. I don’t think I recall asking anyone’s advice on the matter but FT figures are expensive and now difficult to get so I’d rather not tempt fate with them. I transform many of the other third party brands just fine. Again we all have our reasons for buying transformers, what you care about isn’t universal.

Oh and I will be transforming the trailer to combine into Menasor.

 

The FT figures I got last year were their Astrotrain, Beachcomber, Warpath, Brawn, and Sixshot (the only one that wasn’t a 2020 release).

 

I suggest you're missing out not transforming Astrotrain, he's amazing.

I came close to doing the same, but I just want out of the Menasor game. I get screwed over on my FT pre-orders, and XTB is garbage in my eyes now, but I already have all the other figures. I don't want to go through the hassle of selling them and chasing down a DX9 set.

I broke the shoulder on my Deathwish also. It was my fault, but that arm really needs to be transformed into alt mode with pinpoint accuracy, which is slightly aggravating.

Anyway, the replacement they sent me was wrong also. It was a right side arm that had a left side piece on it. Luckily I was able to swap out the intact piece from the broken arm to the new arm they sent me.

 

What?!? Great. Now I have to figure out how Thomas attaches to Monolith. I’m betting it’s on the chest.

 

I have concerns about that matte finish and scuffing but I do really love how the Train form looks. I may flip him around after Menasor.

 

The only scuffing on mine is the connector at the groin that the shins connect to in shuttle mode, and I've transformed him many times.

 

Glad to hear it. I’ll give it a go soon and see how I feel about whether or not the juice was worth the squeeze.

 

Hey what piece did you get replaced? I just had this happen and I can’t work out whether the tab comes out of the arm or not. So not quite sure what replacement part it will be (and whether I can do it)

They sent me the entire arm, complete. I got it through chosen prime though.

After replacing the arm, it still would not line up correctly for alt mode. I thought I was losing my mind. So I took it back off, looked at it in detail, and that was when I discovered some small part was wrong.

This was a long time ago. Probably shortly after it was released, so I don't really remember for sure. But I think it's the part below that was wrong. (it was my toon version, not the toy version in the picture) It was actually the piece that wheel screws onto that broke though. I don't even remember how exactly it broke, but I know it was because I was frustrated and forced it.

 

Got the team into vehicle mode. What an ordeal! Next stop, the trailer.
