I was thinking about doing something similar for Age of Extinction and Godzilla King of the Monster (2019). I'd love to see how your cut of AOE!

This will take a long time. I haven't even started yet. Also trying to figure out how to edit without making the music sound disjointed if I cut in the middle.

I just finished watching it, and the movie still manages to be 2 hours and 22-ish minutes with all the cuts. Damn this movie is long. There are definitely a lot more that can be cut.

Your cut inspired me to do this. I reedited the first Galvatron highway chase scene. It uses your edit as the base. I found it very jarring that Galvatron transforms, and then the next scene he's already back in his alt-mode. I'm not sure if it's your edit, or maybe it was that disjointed in the movie as well. I think it was the movie's fault. So I attempted to edit the scene so Galvatron's back and forth transformation isn't as jarring. I also made it shorter.

If the mods have an issue with this, feel free to remove it. This is only a 3+ minute clip of how I cut the scene.

They really throw humans around like rag dolls in these movies.... but your cut isn't bad. I'll have to compare it to the other one.

I also did an edit that removed the really stupid and out of place dick joke in the factory chase sequence. I'm really happy since I was able to find music to fill in the gaps that happened because of my cut. Without the music, my cut is actually kind of jarring.

Hey all, sorry to bump this after a while, but I recently acquired a new MacBook Pro and Final Cut Pro so I decided to recreate my edit from scratch and go further. I'm going to be updating the first post with a new changelog, but I was able to shave another 9 minutes off my edit! This brings the total amount of cut time to 23.5 minutes, which I'm pretty happy with. As with before, if you'd like to see the edit, PM me and I'll be happy to share a link.

I would love to shave off another 5 minutes; we'll see if that's possible in the next version.

I also strongly encourage you to check out @Illiterate Scholar 's edit HERE, he put a lot of work into it and got the runtime shorter than I did! He also tackled some of the action scenes that I largely left alone.

 

I'm excited for this Prime Cut V2! And thanks for letting us know about @Illiterate Scholar 's cut! Although it'll take forever to get to TWO versions of this movie, it'll be fun to compare.

 

But that is exactly what happened. He embodied the characters of a Knight so the amulet thingy chose him.

 

I thought he was a descendent or something.
