I found a way... Instead of using Cale's sticky blue putty, I simply applied a little regular non-stick white putty instead. It doesn't work perfectly, though, and this will be the only time I do this. Not a fan of the swollen-neck look, but at least I finally was able to swap heads. This is where having an open-mouth head would really come in handy. If that would have come at the cost of the Kayura head, I would have been accepting of that, but for now this is what we get. Speaking of which... Okay, Kayura's head is still really bad, even with custom painting the hair ribbon red like in the show. But still, add the Ancient's staff and this doesn't look too horrible. I probably will never display her like this, although it is really cool that the option is there for this.
Yeah. The problem is that the wide Shuten/Anubis body shouldn't be used for Kayura. Putting aside that the head is terrible anyways. "A-" for effort, but "C-" for execution.
Oh, and how could I forget this? Like I said before, I'm overall very disappointed in the Ancient figure, but standing here like this I think it still looks really awesome. If only I would have bought White Blaze when I had the chance, but then again I have no idea how I would have fit him into a case like this...
Awesome pictures! Glad you were able to figure a workaround for Anubis's head. I am extremely curious about Dais. Can they get his color correct without looking toyish? Will there be some neat/extra parts for when he takes his backpack weapon thingy off and the back legs curve/extend. I've always had a soft spot for Dais. I think I'm done after him even if they make a Talpa. Give me a Sarenbo and Saberstrike I'm in.
You know I'm starting to get upset that Sentinel didn't give us a neutral masked face for Ryo. Hopefully the include one with the eventual armor of inferno ryo or other release.
I recently bought the yellow Tamashii Lightning effect set for Sage, and I know of a wind and wave effects for Rowen and Cye, but what would be good for the Warlords? I know the lightning comes in both red and black which would look sweet behind Anubis and Cale respectfully, but I'm worried about the repetitiveness of using the same effects parts. My intent was to use a different effect part for each character, but I'm not sure if they even make that many kinds. I just recently discovered there is a black ice effect which would make a good replacement for Mukala's blue flame, representing the black crystals, now I just need to decide if I want to replace it. Any suggestions?
I wonder if Sentinel will ever get around doing the Warlords too, maybe the existence of the Lutoys offerings will show that there's a market for them, but I don't think they are really high profile enough to be on anyone's radar outside of hardcore fans.
Does anyone know if the Sentinel Ryo figure is still in stock anywhere? Or is it pretty much sold out across the board and just available on the secondary market now?
I haven't seen it in stock anywhere ever since Rowen/Touma was announced. BBTS had it in stock until literally the day of the official announcement. I know because I was putting off buying one until they proved the line would at least see the main characters completed. I went to buy it along with Rowen and Sage the morning Rowen's preorders started and Ryo was gone. I managed to find him in stock at ToyArena but even they're out of stock now. I think you're unfortunately now stuck using the secondary market unless Sentinel announces a reissue, which isn't something they typically do with their figures.
Ha! Yeah, you basically describe my situation exactly. I was so so on the line, but seeing them basically going all in makes me want it now. But Not enough to pay double for Ryo, so probably for the best. I had my chance, cause as you mention, Ryo was in stock for a long time. Appreciate the info all the same. ETA: Was able to find one. Last one on a site that I've used before (DCBS.com), so it wasn't some sketchy site I ordered from hoping for the best. I was not going to go in on this line because of cost, but seeing the other figures solicited the FOMO really hit me hard. I little silly to succumb to it, but at worst if I decide these aren't for me I can sell them down the line to get some of my money back. But I just all of the sudden really fell in love with the idea of these guys in my detolf. So got Ryo on the way, and the other two pre-ordered.
It's almost as if these effects parts were made for these guys. I was worried I couldn't fit Rowen into the whirlwind effect, but it really turned out awesome. I was torn on the color, though. My choices were blue, light purple, or this blue and purple mixture. I think I made the right choice, since it off-sets the yellow lightning. The bottom two pieces are supposed to go on the sides, but there simply isn't enough room to fit that way so having one in front and one in back makes a cool look as well. As I mentioned earlier, the lightning effect also comes in both red and black which would look good behind Anubis and Cale, respectfully, so that might be a future addition. All that remains is to get the wave effect for Cye, and everyone will have a cool effect!

It was one year ago today that the first Lutoys Anubis prototype image was revealed. Does that mean we will we see the first Dais prototype soon? Fingers crossed!
Just posted on the Facebook page, need I say more? So, this is like getting the Inferno before all five Ronin's were out. I was certain we would see Dais next, but this comes completely out of left field. We simply cannot get this figure soon enough...
