Thanks @TigerBlade !! This is great news!

Who woulda thought that after market hands for little MP-17 would proportionately work with Rodimus Prime?

I realize that the hands aren't quite the focal point of a figure, but whatever you did to make them fit worked well!! They really don't look bad on MP-9!!

Also... I love the 'Arise Rodimus Prime' transition!!

But now I am excited for the fact that I can have Rodimus Prime that can actually do THIS...

    ...and this

    Thanks for the heads up!!

You would think so... right?! Especially after taking a gander at the fused skeleton mits that Takara gave MP-9.

If they did... I cannot find reference to them. But then, I didn't even know about these until logging in just now.

So far, it's looking like @TigerBlade 's suggestion of the MP-17 after-market articulated hands by Fans Style is the only option.

Mark my words... i will order these hands, take the time to carve out whatever extra space is needed to make them fit, and then FansToys or X-Transbots will announce some luxurious Rodimus Prime that costs $270-$300 USD.

Tbf they're way oversized on the Datsun's. Also wasn't my idea originally, you can thank the late TCracker for the suggestion :)

It's probably not smart to have figures at arms length while trying to be productive at work.

Y'know... As I post this, it becomes apparent... we really need a masterpiece scale Goldbug that actually looks like THIS.

    Wish I could!

I never knew him outside of TFW and TCracker's Mind Numb... but not a day goes by that I don't think about him.

    He is forever missed!!

    Another oooold pic but....

    Screenshot_20210202_220751.jpg

Toyworld Bii gets close. The mould wouldn't suit mp45 as much as MP21 though.

That said I'd totally buy the hell out of a modern day Sunbow version though with top end articulation and lots of clean lines.

    I'm flexible!

Who am I kidding, I can barely touch my toes.

But in all seriousness, I like both the toon and comic designs for Goldbug.

Great photo!! And as customs go, I wish ToyWorld would've consulted you before creating their Shinebug!!

I'm not sure what they were referencing with Shinebug... was Goldbug in any of the IDW storylines?!

Anyhoo... I think we'd all enjoy a figure that looks like the Sunbow Goldbug, sold with an extra head would cover my bases.

Of course then the arms and thighs might "bug out" some 80s Marvel fans.

I think BadCube would've nailed it!! Speaking of... whatever happened to BadCube? Did they go the way of DX9??

    On a related note...

Lol, I'm not sure Heavy Metal covers, the work of a dude that makes comic porn and calling people "puny flesh creatures" are the counterproof to being a pervert that you think they are.

Not really, but only because I prefer horror books from the same era, and think that even if sci-fi is your thing you can get better stuff from mainstream Kirby and Starlin space operas than a lot of what HM put out. I'm aware that Starlin did do stuff at HM but it wasn't anything compared to his work writing for Epic, which is why even at Magazine size I prefer Epic to Heavy Metal. HM has had some really weak creative periods where basically all they've had to offer are sci-fi/fantasy themed softcore and really nice cover work. It's cool that they publish to more underground European comic sensibilities, but I don't really see their relevance in a world without the comics code where speculation has helped fuel an indie boom. Unless you like robo genitals. Nobody can step to them there.
