I just got LG Blitzwing from TFSafari the other day. I never liked the TR version...the mold had potential, it was just those damn stickers they used instead of giving it a proper coat of paint. My copy's stickers peeled off on day 1. Now that I've handled the figure with a proper deco, it's become a favorite voyager.

 

At first, I bought TR Blitzwing because I liked the dark color, and I still think that dark color is cool, but sticker is...It's very terrible. And TR Blitzwing's thighs were painted white, so I was afraid that the paint would be damaged every time I transformed it. I totally agree that LG is better than TR.

 

'85 Minibots were always a special bunch. It really is nice to see them all updated. Though, to my eye, Cosmos and Powerglide are looking a bit dated.

 

I've been holding off on getting the original version of the TR Triple changers. I do have two In TR Megs and Laser Prime (minus his weapons).
Really the ones I want are the Takara LG versions and to fix that sticker issue I've all ready ordered the Toyhax replacements.

 

I do think Cosmos needs redone. However, I’m tempted to get the KO deluxe Powerglide instead of holding out for a new release. The mold isn’t the worse, it just needs to be bigger.

Actually, yeah, Powerglide and Cosmos both really need the deluxe Minicar treatment.


EDIT: I wonder if there are any 3P figures of those two who are around deluxe size....

IGEAR made a Cosmos that I believe is deluxe size. Im pretty sure X-transbots made a deluxe size Powerglide.

 

Makes you wish she was more widely available currently at a decent price. Her, Windbladde, Nautica, and a few others I'm looking to get tend to start out around $90.00 to $100.00 as a buy now item. Bidding is lower but you know that will jump close to the end of sale.

 

I consider myself extremely lucky to have snared the three of them when they first came out at decent prices. I did pay £60 ($80) for Arcee this time around, but - like you said - prices on eBay are a bit crazy.

 

With them already giving folks a second chance at POTP Punch/Counterpunch in GOC, the least Hasbro could've done is pad out the second wave of Walmart Retro Headmasters with her instead of a repack of Hardhead again, right? But NOPE!

 

I swear I’d love that head sculpt for my Er Arcee.

 

Do recall that only 10 to 20% of those sales are to collectors. The rest are to parents looking for gifts and kids starting out their own collections. Its those parents and kids who Wal-mart has to sell to make it worth their time to add additional figures into the toy isle. The channel Spector Creative has covered this as well as a number of topics like empty pegs, ebay sellers and Why on earth I can never find any thing other then wave (Insert number here).

 

Did Takara ever do a release of it? Probably not given the rebirth wasn't in their canon.
