I haven't had any issues so far. On mine they need a firm push to fully click in.

 

There is a tendency to be overdramatic on forums so 'worst in 5 years' is part of that.

No figure is perfect and these cut some corners (retooled Sideswipe lower body) but I'm all for a legends class combiner more complex than Hulkie and less of a fiddly mess than Iron Factory combiners (which I own and like). I'm hoping this is the sweet spot here.

 

Would someone be willing to take a few pics with them next to the original G1 toys in both robot and alt modes

 

@Autobrat Leader, have you gotten any shipping updates on your set? I feel like maybe mine fell out of the plane..

Well. I'm a jackass that orders too much stuff and have like 4 orders on the Parcel tracker that just say "CNE", but there's one that hit my regional hub yesterday and hasn't updated since. I think it's the one that says out for delivery on my USPS tracker.

Yeah, I've got three "USPS awaiting item" in IL and one in CA. I really need to start making notes in 17Track as I add things...

 

I had 3 things hit IL within 2 days so it's impossible to tell which tracking numbers correspond to which USPS numbers. Nerd problems...

 

I was impressed with how quickly these turned up. ShowZ ships their US orders in bulk to a distribution center in NY (might be different for west coasters), so they were already in the US before my order status showed as shipped. Once they were shipped, it was just a couple days to get from NY to me in PA.

The pit stop adds a couple days, but it keeps the price down significantly compared to US based retailers. Between this set, Prowl, and Bumblebee I'll have saved enough on shipping by going through ShowZ instead of someone like TheChosenPrime, that I'll almost get the second set of limbs for free as long as they're the same $49 for the set.

 

I live in the midwest, so it seems like my orders end up all over the place before they make their way to my front door.

I finally pulled the trigger on doing ShowZ premium for this year. I've got a solid stockpile of points that I'm planning to dump on Motormaster to make that sting a little less.

So, if you see a Charlock review on ShowZ.. feel free to hit the "like" button.  

 

I thought about that, but it said spend $400 to make it worth while and I know I don't have that spending planned unless something crazy comes out and ships this year (unlikely)

 

MS Menasor and Zeta Superion would cover that. They're on my list, plus MS Shockwave, IF Dark Cygnus, Galvatron, DNA's Scorponok upgrade sets, and MFT Hot Rod.

 

I keep forgetting to look for that Bulkhead. Haven't found one for what is a reasonable price to me.

Once again, everyone is entitled to have their own opinions, no problem with that, I just thought it was a bit hyperbolic (like, were MST even in the business, back in 2015?), that's all.
And - regardless how much I enjoy Magic Square Legends in general - I'm in the front line with you and the other folks expecting them to up their game sooner than later, at this point. Some flaws and oversights are getting inexcusable, even considering the scale and the price of these figures.

 

Think we will see any of zeta superion this year? Maybe 1 or 2. I'm still on the fence about them.
