The partsforming roof is the reason I'm selling mine. Everything else about the figure is intact. Even used some plastic-friendly RC motor grease in some of the joints to make sure they don't have future issues. If they had announced a telescoping rod mechanism like you mentioned as a throw-in with something else they were selling (like Ace Hitter or Nightbeat), I would have kept her and installed that as a fix. As it is, she's a good figure for her price point, but like you I can't get past the entire top of the car coming off for transformation.

 

Method and routing? I've had 3 packages from China delivered in the last 2 weeks, all with zero updates in a 10-day span. SpeedPAK, Epacket, and SF Express; once they hit the US, they vanish until delivery.

Claiming to sell something, taking money, and never shipping the product... isn't how scamming works? Do tell. What about that isn't a scam, exactly?

 

When did they say it was never shipped? When did they say it was eBay? You made a number of assumptions without any information to support it. So no, that isn't how scamming works; that's how jumping to conclusions works.

 

It's been talked about but it's still valid, and it's still my primary problem with the mold as well. There's really not an excuse for it... there are a million car Transformers that make their roofs work. And it's not even like they were trying to make an impossible design work and did it for accuracy, since they redesigned her look and transformation anyway.

It has a bit of a domino effect on me purchasing other figures from the line, too. I don't want to get Nightbeat because of the issue (as well as a few other things), and if I'm skipping Nightbeat and not sure about keeping Athena, it makes me less inclined to pick up Go-Shooter and Cab. Though Go-Shooter looks like the winner of the three molds.

 

I stick to Ebay sellers that I know are legit, even ones in China. I've never had an issue with them.

Just the entire dogfight between people justifying their choices and bitching about any possible thing they can about the ones they weren’t buying. So exhausting.
