Yeah, welcome to MS figures.

One transformation in and I already have paint chips and scratches on Wildrider. This is why I don't buy their metallic figures. Paint just does not like sticking to their material.

I still really like them as a whole though. I think I'm going to do an over-the-hand hammer weapon for Breakdown for some TFP love.

 

Got mine today. Gently worked on those Wildrider arms during a couple meetings(#WFH rules!), lol. He's in business now:

"I'm Wildrider, and I wanna Bust Somethin Up!"



LOVE the head sculpt on Wildrider. The Face is perfectly mischievous, and he does by far have one of the most interesting helmet designs among the G1 Decepticons.

And while I knew this wouldn't work, I just HAD to see just how bad it would be:


... yeah, it's pretty bad. I do like the wheels-on-the-inside-of the-legs thing for carbots(or carCons?), and this Was the way the Sunbow design had it, so dare I say, NA just MIGHT have the edge here. They also have the Spoiler on the back of the robot mode so...

But these guys are still quite AWESOME, and now I have only three bots left to complete my Season 2 Decepticons collection:


They look right at home. Bring on Motormaster and the rest of the squad! Did I mention that these are my FIRST Stunticons Ever???

-astrotrain seems .. okaish (scale size) next to IF blitzwing. I might consider if nothing better comes soon.
NA Rumble... I'm a bit upset with stuff... mainly me. i ordered comic version soundwave instead of the one with Frenzy (I just wanted him cos my Perfect effect one broke a leg) but yeah.. I then asked RBT if they could help me out and got told if i ordered these two i would get a present. The present was a 1$ 2cm high movie Optimus Prime -.-..... I guess Tony was in a trolling mood... I guess I'd be a tad happier with the purchase if I liked the figures, but as I REALLY liked fansproject breakdown I was kinda hoping the minimalist g1 look would have great articulation and posing.. Upon realising he's... they're a remold of their sideswipe (with his floppy sidelegs) atm I can't even be bothered with 'stickermegood' ..

I guess I'm gonna wait for IFs rumble (so 4 soundwaves -.-) but atm I have a feeling NA rumble is VERY small. I'd like to see him next to PE and NA's reflectors.

On a related-to-this-post, but ultimately off topic note.. MFT Blitzwing is in the works. I think he's going to look much better next to their Astrotrain.

 

Oh that's completely fixed on these guys. Everything tabs together nice and tight. The hip balls could be tighter, but aside from that and the little on the loose side ab crunch armature, these guys are are nice and tight.

 

Can't wait to add mine to the collection! Hope we see the rest of the Stunticons by summer!

This shaping up to be my favorite combiner, as I prefer the legends scale so it doesn't devour my entire book shelf.

 

I can make that happen later. I have a Soundwave and friends obsession

 

Plus that IF blitzwing is kinda rubbish. Speaking as someone who hunted one down and then a couple months later sold off his entire IF collection.

 

Oh that sucks. Where did you end up damaging the paint? Mine seems fine so far after 2 transformations.

 

On the forearms. It's miniscule, but still a little disappointing.

I've settled on IF BW a while ago. but my main concern about him was hes a tad big. I still haven't bought any mft but they all seem too big for my taste/collection. To each his own i just look at NA for their slightly smaller stuff. incredibly i've found that you can go too small (somewhere inbetween legion and legends -.-). I'm still not giving up optimus pen as my main prime, and wish i could get more stuff that makes dx9 galvatron on scale. .... yeah but .. we all have issues and mft is on my list... 

still not the best leg articulation -> posability.. more like under par to todays stuff. just me?

90° forward, backward, and 75° outward at the hip joints.
360° thigh swivel
90° single knee bend
70° upward ankle bend
20° downward ankle bend
90° inward ankle tilt
And Deadend has a 180° downward toe bend.

I'd be curious as to who beats that.

Hybrid Convoy is still my Main Prime so I feel you on wanting smaller figures. That said, I still find that MFT stuff does have its places in my collection... For example, I like how MFT's Sludge looks with the DX9 Snarl, Slag and Swoop, and KBB Grimlock. I am sure that sounds like anchovies and pineapple on pizza to some, but as you said, to each their own. I think I might get NA's Breakdown JUST for when I want to display the Stunticons in individual Robot modes, as long as the size is comparable.

There's just SO MUCH cool stuff out there... Thus the boundaries of what is and isn't acceptable in my display must remain flexible. So far it has taken all of Takara, Iron Factory, DX9, MechFansToys, Magic Square, NewAge, Unique Toys, KBB, Worlds Smallest, and more to produce my collection. Not to mention @NOCV and other "4th Party" creatives.

But I do also understand that you don't want to keep buying the same characters over and over just for scale's sake. It can all be a bit frustrating. Such is the life of Collector! "Head Canon", and everything!

 

hey if you need a leg or part for the PE frumbles. just let me know what part it is. i have a few of them so u can help you out with parts.

i still have love for IF blitz. i wish he was a little larger. but for his time he is a great little IF bot.
