Well, they HAVE to move those stocks first to be of any use.

Not sure if the same situation as before. But back when RID aka USA Car Robots were released (2002), I could NOT find a single FireConvoy on the main line department stores in Singapore. Even in TrUS, no FireConvoy but found alot in Orchard Road.

So are those KW2 available in specialty shops or the main department stores?

Kingdom and SS are rolling out on schedule or a little sooner. Folks should just chill. We'll get more Wave 1 refreshes. And lastly-- have we already forgotten that Singapore gets stuff 1-3 months earlier then the the rest of the world/US?

On the plus side-- The franchise is very HEALTHY. Folks are scooping up WFC, SS, Cyberverse and all of the retailer exclusives. This a great thing.

Just don't forget, pre-orders are your friend! I'm still patiently waiting for my Pulse Primal and Ratrap...

 

I find that hard to believe when many sites havent even filled wave 1 preorders.

 

I found everything from kingdom and SS86 and cancelled all my preorders. Preorders are just a back-up plan for me. I feel when I cancel my preorders, Im opening up a slot for a fellow collector who lives in the middle of nowhere and has no close targets or walmarts. It also makes exchanges easier when I get a defective figure which happens often.

 

There's a trade off, some of you boys might already have known that in Asia, the SRP of TFs is often alot higher than what you guys are paying for yours in the West.

The recent sightings as shared by the folks in Singapore...Just take a look at the prices that were advertised.

 

Very true. The US gets the cheapest pricing on these figures (or very close to cheapest.) You could argue that the US is the largest individual market for TFs in the world (larger then China?), so a larger quantity is sold here and that helps to lower costs.

I know I’m okay waiting and getting stuff at a lower cost. I also try not to take for granted all the perks US fans get.

 

I keep telling myself that Grimlock being a solid case means at some point he's going to hit pretty big saturation before the next wave of Leaders drops.

Besides their Walmart listings, nothing as of yet. We only know that each one will include a figurine partner (Ravage and Daniel respectively)

 

In case anyone is wondering, the so called spotting of the Wave 2 Kingdom in Singapore... They are not the shelves. They were saying Isetan NEX but the shelves are all filled with Netflix Transformers, Studio Series etc. None of the Wave 2 mentioned. The staff there said they will only be available in April. Are those sightings even legit? Or those are goods in the warehouse?

 

One of the posters said they were put out earlier than they were expected to, and even then, these are brand new and the sighting was over a week ago. Likely sold out, and any employee that didnt know off the top of their head went off what the original estimate was. There is no reason to lie, because then the person got ahold of a bunch of wave 2 Kingdom stuff, went into a store, put them on a shelf and took pictures. Thats... too much effort. Also, those dates places were given are rarely correct. A lot of places had Studio Series 86 figures not arriving until April. They've been on US shelves for a month.

 

Well, I went down immediately after I saw the sighting posted on Facebook and they were still being sold, so I guess you'll have to take my word for it.



Also, here's another Singaporean collector who bought Dinobot off store shelves.

 

I pretty sure I did not say the poster was lying. Did I? Yeah, it was probably sold out.

What I was saying was, it could have sold but the departmental store could have pulled them because, they were not supposed too. I should have put it that way.

The way the sale staff put was it not on the shelves. But you are right. Some sale staff didn't know better.

For those interested to know, I made an enquiry with the said departmental store yesterday. I just got a call from them. My speculation is confirmed.

According to her, the staff made a mistake and put the Wave 2 on sale, but it was soon recalled by the supplier. It is now confirmed that it will not be on shelves in their departmental stores until April 1st.

For those who managed to secure copies, I am so envious!
