Hey everyone. I finally got around to finishing a custom Kel Dor smuggler I've been working on. ANH Han body (modified upper arm for jacket) 3-pack Cassian lower arms thigh pouches from Boba Jyn Erso holster, modified boot containers from 3.75 Chewie bandolier pistol from 6in, 5poa Kanan Plo Koon head and hands Repainted body with tamiya acylics I've also been building some bandai 1/144 models. I wanted to give my figures an action figure collection of their own. These double to show how large a 1/12 scale starfighter might size up to us (imagine that you're the shoretrooper) Something tells me Hasbro won't bother with them.
Another weekend, another fodder build. Hey everyone, trying to clear out some fodder bits, so I threw together a custom alien assassin. For tough to track targets, he uses a reprogrammed Senate droid to feed data back to him. Base body - 1st run Black series Revan Head - ML Star-Lord (1st Guardians film) Thigh pouch - Imperial Snowtrooper and random strap Backpack - "Halo: Reach" Marine Droid - 3.75 Senate droid with custom flight stand Chest armor made from Green Stuff Hand held monitor, and gun - fodder bits Still planning on a stand alone flight stand for the droid, but wanted to share where the build is for now
"Please tell Lord Vader, it was a pleasure doing business with him." "Sure. Sure.. But only if YOU tell him there's no more room in this station. This toy collection of his, is getting out of hand."
No fodder build this weekend, but just a quick little update. Using the white plastic cap from an empty Krazy Glue container, I added the shoulder straps I had missed. I also swapped the pistol with a Sabine/Deathwatch style pistol from ORT, just had to cut off the holster's "locking strap"
Hey everyone. Was working on my first custom of the new year, and realized I had forgotten to post this one. Custom "battle damaged" Vader "Emperor's Wrath" Vader base, added left hand from a Terminator exoskeleton, and Darth Raven cape. Damage done with Dremel and paint. Night fishing LED for lightsaber, and base was made a few years ago with 9v powered LEDs and a drain cap from Home Depot
Hey everyone, now for my first 2 customs of 2021... My "season 1" and "season 2" beskar armors. Season 1 - Beskar Mando, with removed knee pad and Mudhorn sigil. Armor "repainted" using Molotow liquid chrome marker and testor's spray clear sealant (FYI - the spray sealant left flightsuit shiny, so I needed to repaint that after) Season 2 - "Build-up" Mando (removable helmet) with reshaped thigh armor and soft goods cape. Repainted with Molotow marker, but used a brush-on sealant. *I still need to clean up his thigh armor a little, but need new bits for Dremeled first
Hey everyone. I wanted to share my custom AT-ST Driver WIP. I'm still planning to swap his goggles, and the red shoulder decals are only temps. I know he has the wrong collar, but he's coming along. Ghostbusters "Plasma series" Ray body (shaved down his elbow pads and name tag) Mimban Han head, bucket, and goggles Stormtrooper rifle
These are all really fun. I like reusing Ghostbuster bodies as generic driver/technician types. If you could find something that looks like those little cylinder things that everyone in SW wears on their chests (I think they're like flash drives?) that'd be a neat addition to one of these guys. You could make an entire "pit crew" out of dudes in matching tan coveralls... (Also, the dude with a Star Lord head still looks like Star Lord to me... I wonder if painting his hair a different color wouldn't help?)
Understandable. I've since painted Starlord's eyes gold (like an astronaut helmet) and was considering adding a "breather box" and tubes. As for the cylinders, I've got some fodder bits that might work. If not, can always use Green Stuff too
Hey everyone, just a quick update and comparison. Finished off my custom AT-ST Driver. Goggles are removable (taken from a spare Veers and glued directly to Mudtrooper goggle band), repainted jumpsuit a slightly darker grey, and added 2 white Imperial cogs over a dot of flat black on his shoulders. Kept the Mudtrooper helmet because, like the AT-ST helmet, it wasn't as flared at the base as Veers. Not perfect because of his collar, but if we get an official release, I'll just make this one a "field mechanic" * this third photo is just a comparison between the two helmets
Yeah from the photos I've seen, it looked like all of the ghostbuster figures have a small gut. I had only bought Ray to test this build with (was missing head and accessories), thought it might work since the ROTJ costume photos looked like they were wearing jumpsuits that were slightly too big
Hey everyone. Well, I messed up.. I thought I ordered the whole "Brown Eyes" kit from ORT, so until I can get the rest of the kit, I'm calling this a "Season 3 Imperial disguise Din". "While searching for the scattered remains of his clan, Din is forced to once again don his Juggernaut driver disguise, in order to search an Imperial installation." Mimban Han base Helmet from ORT rifle from original, non-beskar Mando Repainted armor and helmet with mixture of tamiya flat green and flat light grey. Weathered with grey and black washes
Hey everyone, I finally managed to finish my second "flashback" Deathwatch member. (I still hope we'll get an official eventually) This time, decided to go with all official parts, no online part casts. "Pre-beskar" Mando base Added a spare left shoulder armor to his right shoulder, and a rangefinder from Sabine Knees from orange line Fett, and boots from a First Order Officer. Gun was modified from Boba and added a knife from "Classified series" Scarlett Also gave him "Deluxe" Din's jetpack I know neither are 100% screen accurate, but really love the design.
Hey everyone. Was planning on working on one project, but the USPS delayed those plans. Since I was taking parts from some old customs, decided to rework them a little. Took my old ROTJ Fett custom and turned him into a random Mando. (still working on his jetpack) I also took an old "Deathwatch" custom, and turned him into a random clan leader who has seen a lot of action. My thoughts, he no longer uses a helmet because it had failed him in a previous battle.
Hey everyone. I was finally able to sit down and work on my Axe Woves. Hardest part had to be the grey band on his helmet. Mando #94 base Netflix ML Punisher head Jango helmet and jetpack (modified) ROTS Kenobi knees and boots KO "Prototype" Boba kneepads Still need to find another pouch, and belt buckle, but happy with the outcome. I'm sure that he needs to be a darker blue, but went with this color so it'd be easier to convert him into another "flashback" Deathwatch when we get an official Axe release
Hey everyone. Finished promoting my Shoretroopers. Got a third on the way, but not sure how I want to approach the team's "heavy" fourth. Scarif Shoretrooper "Captain": standard Shoretrooper with Kanan's handgun. Repainted with custom tamiya flat light grey/flat blue mixture. Yellow was dulled down with a little white Scarif Shoretrooper "Specialist": standard Shoretrooper with Tamiya flat red, and painted the yellow chest decal with the same yellow mixture as the Captain. The "NT-242" is a modified oversized Chap Mei Barrett .50cal. (I still may swap the stock with a New Republic blaster) The question though.. Should I get another Shoretrooper to be the team's Heavy, or the Shoretrooper "Squad Leader"? (if you've played "Battlefront 2", the only difference between the "trooper" and "heavy" skins, is that the heavy has extra pouches and ammo on his armor)
When your squad finally comes together. Wanted a team inspired by the Scarif skins from "Battlefront 2". Left to right: Scarif Trooper - untouched Archive release Scarif Heavy - custom "Squad Leader" Scarif Officer - custom "Captain" Scarif Specialist - repainted "exclusive" release I wanted to use the Scarif "Squad leader" as my Heavy trooper, because I liked the ARC Trooper look, more than the screen accurate model (just a standard Shoretrooper with added ammo), but I kept getting outbid on him. So, I just made one. Archive Shoretrooper base Kama/skirt - from Johnwalkercustoms.com Wrist ammo - Mando #94 leg Added pouch and rifle from a Sandtrooper
