I usually post in a different thread, and I looked at the last several pages here since getting the new Leafage head v2 to make sure I didn't repost some of these pics. Apologies if I wasn't thorough enough.

I used random 3D printed junker parts, then made screw holes appropriately sized for the screws I used.

Would someone with the Leafage V2 head please post a picture of the battery compartment along with the type of batteries used? I'm losing my mind trying to get LR521's in and I don't know if they're dead or the wrong size.

    Thank you.

I bought LR621’s and still nothing. I’m left to assume something is broken and/or that I am an idiot.

Compare your photo to mine, the polarities appear to be inverted. Either it's mismarked or it was wired wrong. Try flipping the batteries?

    "Oh yeah! We inverted polarities!"

Thanks for the help, but no dice. The piece of metal on the side I've removed Prime's ear from is floppy. Only connected to the wire. Could this be the issue?

It needs to complete the circuit so good contact (and constant pressure) is necessary. I had to squeeze my springs together a bit with a needle nose to make good metal on metal contact. You could try setting the switch to the “on” position to see if making full contact turns on the LEDs. I’m pretty sure your +/- indicators are wrong but if you’ve tried both ways, your contacts are good, and the batteries are fresh, it might be the wiring or the LEDs.
Do you have a multi-meter to test the voltage of the circuit?

I do not have a multi-meter. Thank you for all your help. I was taking pictures to demonstrate that I've been flipping the batteries and the on/off switch (lol) to no avail when the previously mentioned floppy metal contact disconnected from the wire entirely. I'll have to accept this experience as a product of my own incompetence, maybe try to paint the eyes as a consolation. Sorry for clogging the thread. Thanks again.

I also had to bend the connectors in to make contact with the batteries to get mine to work. Delicate work.

These days it's only worth about $12. I'll take it off your hands for $13 though cause I'm feeling generous.
