i don't think he was never not on twitter he didn't delete his account or make a grand announcement of stepping away from the platform or anything. he just stopped making weird creepy 'jokes' about children

That reeks of spin. Something WB asked him to say to help counter the bad press that's come lately from people like Legendary. Which is fine. I'm sure after Gunn's own recent problems, he is enthusiastic to be seen by WB as management-friendly. But that statement wasn't made in a vacuum.
Very excited for this movie. Suicide Squad is easily one of my favorite comics~ I do wish that Bronze Tiger was brought back though...
